Welcome to the world of Nextel/Sprint... I have been a loyal Nextel customer for over 12 years, waiting and waiting for a Smart phone... Period and what did i get, an overalaberated Piece of RIM Blackberry crap???? Come~on now Sprint. They are following in the same lathargic steps as Nextel and I wouldn't be a bit suprised to see the Next big thing from Sprint Be a Turd again. I have recently gone to a Sprint Diamond ( bye bye chirp... that's how work get's done) which i love for my business, with the hopes of a Diamond2 soon to be released. My years of dealing with them tell me that anything projected for first quater will be second or third at best... let's hope that's not true. I must say my heart skipped a beat when i saw a windows phone HTC Adonis with a fully legible screen like an iphone but i will believe it when it comes out probably just in time for next summer...
To be fair, in the last 6 months Sprint has introduced the Pre, Hero, Tour, Intrepid and TP2, with the Pixi and Moment soon to drop. Not to mention feature phones like the Instinct S30 and HD.

At this current time, how many other carriers have that kind of smartphone selection?

Hopefully Sprint maintains this momentum. At this point, the TD2 really is old technology and I would be happy if they passed on it if it would mean that a 1Ghz device would be introduced in the 1st qtr of '10.

He was talking about nextel specifically. And he is right. They don't get jack for smart phones. The only wm device is that crappy I920. Sprint just doesn't care about Nextel, and It shows.

I agree Sprint has generally been very good about phone releases. It's just that a bunch of us want this this phone instead of the TP2 brick.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

Let's just wait and see guys. A lot of the rumors focus around mid to late November, so let's give it at least that long. Remember, we went from rumor to first pic to release of the Imagio in 3 weeks, so it is possible for stuff to hit fast with out a lot of leaks...

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

+1 Gadget....supposedly there will be more surprises by Christmas, but I have a feeling the Diamond replacement will be a disappointment. Now that we know the HD2 exists, and know it's coming to the US (I'm sure Sprint wont have it), anything less would be a disappointment....we'll see.

It sounds like T-mobile is getting ready to set a presidence, hopefully sprint will take notice & follow suit.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

I love my TP2. Had it for less than one week and I love the screen size.

I have hardly use the keyboard at all, so to me this TP2 is a brick.

I need HD2!

Sure, it will be here in time for the holidays in the form of the HD2. You heard it here first (total rumor made up by me, of course).

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

There is a rumor that verizon is getting the touch hd 2 code name dragon? Maybe maybe not but do any of you find this hard to believe because that have the imagio already. That being said what piss me off is that sprint never got the imagio there are no damn rumors that i know of about them getting it. No whitestone and now even t mobile and verizon might be getting the hd2 next month. Verzion is geting the palm pre one up sprint yet again verizon is geting the hero even at&t is getting the hero? So my question is what the hell is wrong with sprint iam really really sick and tired of us all of a sudden being the last to get these units if at all. So one talking some sence into me cause i think the coming x mas season is getting to me need to move on for my htc touch.

The Dragon is a Leo with Android isn't it? Doesn't make sense with Verizon getting the Moto Droid soon.
