Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
Ok this is my newest email from sprint dated: 10/20/2009 6:17pm EST
I asked just simply " i heard of a device known as the HTC Adonis, and if there is any info" Thank you for taking the time to write to Dan@Sprint. We have no records of a Sprint Adonis device. Bloggers have used this terminology in association with the HTC Leo and the Touch HD2 devices. Unfortunately, we have not received notification that we will carry the HTC Leo or the Touch HD2. Please feel free to visit www.sprint.com for the latest information and updates. Please feel free to use Dan@sprint whenever you have any other questions or comments. Additionally, I can be reached at (757) 223-3124, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST. Thank you for choosing Sprint. Have a wonderful day. Sincerely, Angela G. (757) 223-3124 Sprint Sorry if this crushes any current speculations, could be future though.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
touch pro 2? and well the touch pro 2 would sell better if it was a bit cheaper.. lol but I still doubt the diamond 2 coming white stone or HTC hd2 or maybe even a different company all together (read as Toshiba 1ghz monster)

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
So. I keep hearing the pro 2 is being sold for 199. I haggled my way down to 199, but is it being sold now for 199? If that's the case that's really not bad.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
true on that one and I wonder why its not in stores yet.. I wonder if their trying to build up a massive amount of them so they dont sell out like Verizon and at&T

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
I doubt that is the case. I just made a comment similar to that of fyyzer in another forum. I have been able to play around with store models of T-Mobile's and AT&T's Touch Pro2 (TP2). I still have yet to see one local Sprint store carry the TP2. How can you sell a product to non-web savvy customers if they don't know it exists. I felt the reason it wasn't in the stores is because it doesn't have WinMo 6.5 installed out-the-box yet. Sprint would be wise to have WinMo 6.5 on the in-store TP2 to avoid people bricking the phone during a ROM upgrade or failing to upgrade because they don't know a new ROM exists. It is harder to deal with calls to customer service when the same phone has either WinMo 6.1 or 6.5. People who ordered the TP2 via the web or directly from Sprint have shown they are knowledgeable enough to find out about and install the WinMo 6.5 upgrade for the TP2 when released.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
By the time Sprint gets around to releasing the Touch Diamond2/Whitestone (if ever), I hope they have to price it cheaply given that Verizon and AT&T have already beaten them out the starting gate with a reasonable price for the phone on contract. If they ask for more than Verizon or AT&T, they will find neither the Diamond2 or Pro2 would be great sellers + may loose more customers. The new HTC HD2 may be a major game changer and definitely can stand toe-to-toe with the over-hyped iPhone. Hopefully Sprint will carry it.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
Knowing sprint and the price of their HTC phones, they will probably charge more for the whitestone (if it comes out) than the competition. $199 is already a lot for an outdated device.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2
Not to rain on anybody's parade butt....
Welcome to the world of Nextel/Sprint... I have been a loyal Nextel customer for over 12 years, waiting and waiting for a Smart phone... Period and what did i get, an overalaberated Piece of RIM Blackberry crap???? Come~on now Sprint. They are following in the same lathargic steps as Nextel and I wouldn't be a bit suprised to see the Next big thing from Sprint Be a Turd again. I have recently gone to a Sprint Diamond ( bye bye chirp... that's how work get's done) which i love for my business, with the hopes of a Diamond2 soon to be released. My years of dealing with them tell me that anything projected for first quater will be second or third at best... let's hope that's not true. I must say my heart skipped a beat when i saw a windows phone HTC Adonis with a fully legible screen like an iphone but i will believe it when it comes out probably just in time for next summer... |
