Sprint Touch Diamond 2

I'm up for my two year renewal now, and I have a touch. I was really hoping to get a Sprint equivalent of the Imagio. Come on Sprint!

What the !@# isgoing on here? Verizon releasing the omnia 2 now, and still nothing from sprint. TG01 is going to verizon also I guess..........

Hi all,

guys we all in the same dilemma of SPRINT not telling us whats coming, but if you take into consideration that every time you call and ask them for their "SUPER SECRET I CANT TELL ANYONE" Device that is coming, out of the bat we should know that it is something big because they are paying attention to Verizon's lineup; they are killing every major cell carrier right at the moment when it was always sprint getting the latest and greatest. my point is lets sit down and wait because I'm pretty sure sprint wont let us down. it is obvious that SPRINT have something cooking in the oven, lets just wait and it will be worth the wait.

Another rendition of the instinct ? When has Sprint had the latest and greatest other carriers couldn't match? The are killing every major cell carrier at the moment?

Angela from Dan@Sprint.com has told me now that there is no longer a chance of the TD2/Whitestone before the end of the year. This is the same person who told me that it was being released the end of Q3....
I'm jumping ship as soon as the HD2 get here... I'm hoping AT&T rather than T-Mobile.... But who knows...

now sh*t like this really pisses me off....we patiently wait, and the only option they give us is the TP2? wtf? Not everyone wants to carry a damn brick.

Sprint is really effin up here, they're already losing customers left & right...they need to step it up!

well I hope you're right....but I know there are people watching the FCC website for new devices coming, and we aint hearing nuttin.

exactly, or how about another android phone....I think he was saying Verizon is killing it, cuz it sure aint Sprint.



I don't mind waiting alittle longer, now that we got Manila 2.5, it's helping ease the pain.

let me correct myself, i meant to say that at least SPRINT in the last few years has kept on par with GOOD WINMO devices and other mobile flavors. and i was referring to VERIZON killing everyone with that crazy WINMO Lineup they have.

Its the end of November....does anyone know what Sprint's "big news" was? Please dont tell me it was Android 2.0 on the Hero. If that was the news then shame on Sprint.

Good question. Verizon is releasing the Omnia II on 12/2/09 (Samsung's answer to the HTC Imagio). I played with the HTC Imagio, HTC Eris, and Moto Droid at the local Verizon store a few days ago. I loved the Imagio and Eris. I wasn't too impressed with Moto Droid except for the speed. I too would love to know what the "big news" in November from Sprint spoken of earlier in this thread was going to be. So far Verizon has matched and in some cases exceeded Sprint's offerings. I am still hoping Sprint pulls the proverbial rabbit out of the hat but my hope is fading fast.

I think they originally were going to have the whitestone/diamond 2 and that's was probably what was coming, but they have since changed their minds. hopefully because something much better is taking it's place!

Yeah, I am kinda liking the Hero. However, I don't want to change my plan in order to get it. That's why I'm really hoping for a new windows mobile phone without a keyboard. I love the thinness of my touch, but it's time to upgrade. I'd be happy with an Imagio equivalent, and I'd love a Leo equivalent.
