Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

I ordered a TP2 today. I figure if Sprint did release something for the holiday or reduce it's price I'll still be under 30 days.

Was in Verizon store with a friend that was getting a Droid. 1/2 hr wait with ~6 reps servings customers. Felt like an apple store a week after iPhone was replaced. Very busy.

Imagio is a very nice package. Droid was also quite good. I'd take either over a TP2.

No way I'd pay Verizon or AT&T rates though. They are insane.

Agreed, on both accounts.

I was very impressed with the imagio... it was so much smoother, with the scrolling and the responsiveness, even for a phone that probably had every application opened at once from all the people playing with it. I held my diamond up next to it and it looks so tiny. I had gone into the vzw store to check out the tp2 but they didn't have any (i'm have sprint) so I ran across the mall to the ATT store and they had the touch pro 2... but I thought it was too thick.

So I'm really hoping the imagio or something like it comes to sprint...

also agreed, I'm also on the waiting list of a keyboard less, 3.6" inches or above screen, windows mobile phone, basically a TOUCH PRO2 without physical keyboard. my thoughts were that Sprint might get the LEO probably but i hope they get a variant of the IMAGIO with SNAPDRAGON processor because i don't know if that big'o screen 4.3" inches would do it for me, lol. anyways lets hope for the best guys because like on one of the previous post they mentioned that the plans that other carriers have and yes Sprint still the best one when it comes to plans.

Ya, I am a hair-trigger away from grabbing the touch pro 2... but I know as soon as I buy it, 31 days later they will release imagio/leo/diamond2/whatever...

I know how you feel. My contract is up. Played with a Sprint HTC Hero and Verizon's variant (Eris). I love the design of the Eris but both phones have "sex appeal". I would love to get my hands on a Whitestone device for Sprint but don't have that choice. I am tempted though by the Hero but know that 31 days later, I would probably be regretting the choice. Sitting on the fence for now.

The HD2 screen may be much bigger but the device itself isn't much bigger than the imagio. It's nearly the same height, slightly wider, and much thinner.

I agree. I am not sure what the holdup is. However, given the TP2 took so long to be available in Sprint stores (only recently can you walk in and buy one from in store), I am loosing hope that we will see the TD2 anytime soon on Sprint. Sprint seems to be pushing Android and WebOS based phones at this point. This leaves me with essentially no good WinMo upgrade path from my Touch Diamond (unless I want to go with the thicker TP2). It is now mid-November. Anyone hear anything from official Sprint channels about a TD2 being released anytime soon?

Same boat. I tried to lug around the TP2 for a day and had to give it to my wife, way too heavy and bulky. Hopefully there will be some blackfriday surprise or holiday season push they are keeping secret though I am not going to hold my breath. I would jump to the Hero but not willing to part with SERO quite yet.

Same boat for me too except Sero (I'm on the everything plan). Diamond is doing everything i want but my short attention span already had me bored months ago. TP2 is a no-go, it's gigantic! I'm just trying to patiently hold out for the HD2, wherever it goes, so will I.
