I'm trying to figure out how HTC can put out such a great device (EVO 4G) for Sprint, and then bring something less than that to the table (again, spec wise) as their next device.
I personally think that is the case too..that WP7 Pro is suppose to be a medium device rather then high end..usually Sprint would make their high end device have wimax..but here is where the problem comes in..if they make a better 4g device..will it have a keyboard...and if so how good of a keyboard.

Yeah, we've been saying that, too, but nobody is listening. I too am reserving final judgement for when I am holding the device in my hand.

Guys. Dial it back a bit. Things are getting a bit heated for, IMO, no good reason. There have been some posts that have been close to flaming. Remember the rules & keep it civil. If not, I'll close this bad boy down and borrow Blasphemous Prime's ban hammer if needed.

Thank you in advance for keeping my headache from getting worse...

True we had some heated comments in the past (I apologize for any sparks I may have caused) but I think things have settled down a bit. You can trust us to keep it calm in here.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty... but I have seen HTC's track record, and I am not giving them the benefit of the doubt again, ya know?
I really haven't had a chance to peek into the latest posts, but this one caught my eye. I wouldn't point my finger at htc. Sprint was first to launch (clearwire, faster than 3g, not quit lte) then vzw went with the rumor of lte.

3 executives from sprint left clearwire. Dan H. being one of them.

It was rumored that sprint was going to go with clearwire............ poofffffffff evo 4g. it was also rumored that vzw was going to launch lte somewhere beginning to mid 2011, and look where that is going.......

It's not htc's fault that sprint jumped ship on 4g, and give sprint a chance to move foward. The new wm7 (as much as I hate to see the UI compaired to what was to be launched a year ago) they are trying new things. Is it a dual core 1.5mhrts processor, no. Is it a 1080i res, no. Will your tp1-2 run the software, I doubt it.

We look at the first android phone on sprint and it was the hero, same specs as the tp1 and people jumped over like it was the best thing in the world, state of the art and never seen before features. I hate to say this but at least give the new os a chance.

What does that have to do with HTC's track record?

again the track record HTC set has nothing to do with 4g...that said we knew about EVO and it having 4G a year before it came out...

Yes thats what makes us not happy with HTC, but at the time that was the best specs in a phone...right now that is not the case as better spec phones are out..and in Pro7 case it will come out with already 5-10 phones with better specs...that said notice how most of the people stuck on the Hero wish they waited >.>

This has nothing to do with sprint or htc. The reason this phone is coming out so late is because of microsoft. Microsoft decided to make att and gsm their primary release partners. That's that. By the time this phone comes out there will be other phones out and a better google os. So who cares. Sprint will still be doing good and I gurantee htc will be doing even better. Not to mention windows phone 7 will have apple and google to contend with. This thread is finally going nowhere.

gsm is not a release partner lol...but the issue with this thread is the pro 7 has the same specs as the other wp7 phones while coming out next year..thats what the complaint is about.

Also WP7 has more then just iOS and Android to worry about as 2011 is going to be a full out OS war...as HP/Palm dish out WebOS 2 and Intel/Nokia dish out MeeGo..its going to be an all out war >.>
