My Mogul has been even more stable than my tweaked 6700 and after installing basically everything internally (instead of having to spread it over the Main Storage, Extended ROM and the SD card on my 6700) and letting download all my attachments automatically, I still have 87Mb of storage free. I liked the 6700, but I'm loving this one. Its got is problems (the slideout keyboard not working with Live Search is bugging the crap out of me), but most of the benefits that the custom ROM's brought me are addressed as well or better. |

If anyone who gets a 6800 and would rather have another 6700 is interested let me know. I tried getting my 6700 replaced a few months ago hoping for a 6800 and they just gave me another 6700 instead. I really wanted the mogul, so I broke down and bought one off ebay. After my wife saw it and tried it a few times, now she wants one 2. I used the replacement 6700 for a little over a month after I got it and it is still in great condition. I also have the cradle, 2 oem batteries, 1 ext battery with cover,
1-1gig mini sd card, and 1 - 2gig minisd card and will be willing to trade anyone for their mogul. If not, hopefully they'll start replacing the 6700s with the mogul here soon so I can do an esn swap to that replacement 6700 and take it in for her... If anyone is in SC and knows of a store swapping 6700 to mogul please let me know. Thanks Jay |

I got mine replaced for a 6800 in Indianapolis, IN.
![]() Got it last week and after loading what I had on my 6700 is working as expected and battery life is much better once all the registry hacks are done. I am loving it so far. ROM customizations will be nice when they come. BTW I have a Seidio Ruberized Slim Case, a Hold and Store holster and 2 1500mah batteries for the 6700 for sale at a significantly lower price than buying them directly. All with less than a month of usage ![]() |

I have a 6700 with no insurance. I don't care whether I get a mogul or apache as replacement but I've begun to feel my dpad crappin out. how much maximum would I have to pay to fix it? would I be able to add insurance to my account after fixing it?

In my experience you might have to try a few different stores to get it fixed but usually the repair fee is around $35-45 if is not something major like yours seem to be. Third party service centers seem to be better for out of warranty repairs. Anytime you add a phone (either purchased or as a replacement) you should be able to add insurance to it. I think of insurance as a payment plan for the replacement phones, my kids dropped my wife's Treo in the toilet and I had my 6700 fall from 3 stories high and both were replaced with the $50 deductible. My 2nd 6700 was doing "factory resets" (would lose all the programing} and they replaced it without any cost to me. If you ask me those $7 bucks a month are well worth it.

Though with the Vogue coming in November, I'd probably just turn around and sell the Mogul on eBay. I want that 128MB of RAM! EDIT: BTW, how's the earpiece volume? Better than the 6700, same, or worse? My main complaint about my 6700 is the volume... Last edited by EtherealRemnant; 09-24-2007 at 06:19 PM. |
