Sprint swap..... 6700 to Mogul (6800)

Greetings......

I was just wondering if anyone here has been able to either walk in or call in to sprint and get their 6700 swapped out to a 6800 using the "sprint" insurance plan???

Thank you

there are a few claims here and there and I have seen this myself. But you might as well wait because sprint actually restocked the 6700s recently knowing we would try this.

Give it a few months and you'll be able to pick up the free upgrade

the 6800 *IS* on the official exchange list, however sprint thought ahead this time around and placed a 20,000 6700 order just prior to its release so that we would not have to exchange for this model, nor are we allowed to if 6700's are available (and they will be for quite some time).

our store alone has over 40 brand new ones, and about 15 recons. It *may* happen for you, but i wouldnt count on it. Coupled with SPECIFIC directions to not upgrade/exchange you would be hard pressed to get one until we run out.

Ah, This news actually makes me feel a lot better, The sprint lady said I would be getting a new 6700 as a replacement, I sure hope it is...

I got a Mogul as a replacement for a client's 6700 about a month ago. He has a corporate account, and has had 3 replacement 6700s in the last year due to battery, BT, and screen alignment problems. I spoke with Sprint's Corporate customer service, and they suggested that we swap a Mogul for the 6700 due to the history on the account.

So, in short, if you have a history of problems with your 6700, that may make it easier to swap for a Mogul.

well, technically when you need to go through 3 or more of the same phone, Sprint will typically allow you to swap out to a different phone to avoid loosing you as a customer... So yeah, Not a bad system...
