Ugggh.... I got a recon 6700 and it's d-pad's rubber thingy is sunken, so they placed an order for a 'new' one. Hope that it is ROMable...

Indeed it does... That bootloader kept people from upgrading roms for about... 2 days... Only problem is that I hear it can be REALLY hard to downgrade roms once an update is made...

Why don't you get your facts straight before you spread FUD?

The new 6700's do NOT have the new bootloader. I should know because I just got one two weeks ago at the same time the Mogul came out.

And even if they did, the new bootloader does NOT prevent you from flashing new ROMs.

Of course they arent doing this yet, .....nor would I know because Im a vzw customer and all my ties to sprint have been severed after the sprint-nextel merger when i took severence.

Sprint is funny these days....nothing against them but their damn net-promoter scores are negative for customer satisfaction experience is the rumor. This finding would not suprise me.

Well I guess I still have "SOME" ties to retail wireless.

I did it.... i was able to use the sprint insurance plan and get a brand new Sprint Mogul.......

I have been using it for a few days and so far so good.

thats pretty amazing seeing as the show thousands of 6700's in stock. But if its working for someone else let me know. I'll pay 50 for a mogul

He probably had to swap out his 6700 more then three times due to genuine problems, And then threw a fit at a retail store where they noted the 3+ replacements and decided to just try another phone (which so happened to be a mogul)...
