I got your Final version installed and everything seems to be working ok.

The thing I can't figure out is the EVDO settings. I can connect and sent messages and browse the internet with explorer, but it never says it's connected to the EVDO network. It just says Data Network Connect (Dial-up).

How do I get it to connect to the EVDO network?

it will connect to EVDO automatically when it can. easiest way to see if you're on EVDO is check the speed. or see if it says EV or 1X at the top

colonel, I have installed 3.5 (other carrier) on my Verizon xv6700. Everything went smoothly, I canceled the Verizon EXT rom installs and, much like wheelna, My reception is horrible now.

It just switches from Extended to Verizon Wireless and I cannot answer incoming calls. I see them ring it. I Hit answer.... the Calling party can hear me, but I cannot hear them. The call disconnects moments later. I am going to try hard-resetting a few times, but I looks like wheelna and I are in the same boat.

Has anyone else done this with a Verizon Phone?

Thanks!

You might need to let the Verizon ExtRom install. The only rom up there that has ExtRom stuff built in is the Sprint one. People say you dont need the Verizon ExtRom, but it might help. Also make sure you have the latest radio, PRI, and PRL etc.

I assume the PRI and PRL updates I can do by doing *228 and then option #1 and #2 respectively. How do I update the radio (pardon the n00bish question)
