Colonel's Custom 3.5 Final Roms and Kitchen Patches
Well, with the release of the 3.5 kitchen and the fact that my rom is pretty much full, I figure that it is about time to wrap this up. I may decide to go in a different direction with another rom, but I think this one is pretty much done.
Here is a list of what is included in the roms themselves: WM6 themes and icons Cyberon Voice Dialer MS Voice Command (with .exe removed) WM6 Remote Desktop PIEPlus 2.2 (with .dll removed) Tetris and Yhatzee (borrowed from JBabey) Custom Wait Icon (can be changed from this thread) acbPowerMeter acbToggleBT Add Ringtone app Clear Temp Contacts Manager CycleBT Device Lock DictEditor Extended Rom is unhidden and can be unlocked with the included app File as First Last (for saving contacts) Flash Player 7 Flashlight LVMTopBat (battery indicator) Mark All as Read Midlet Manager MyExtensions (associate files with apps) Notepad NotifyMe NullKeyboard O2plus PIM Backup Pocket IRC Pocket RAR Pocket PDF SIP Change Smartskey SoftKeyApplet Task Manager/Registry Editor Tcpmp Custom Themes Total Commander Windows Live Windows Live Search WM5torage .Net CF 2 Removed: Stock MSN stuff Clear Storage Intellipad The Sprint versions also include the Sprint ExtRom built in. The other versions should allow for the carrier cabs to be installed from the ExtRom if necessary. As before, you can put the folder on the root of your SD card named Boot. In this folder you can place your VoiceCmd.exe, PIEPlus.dll, and a you can edit the Custom settings cab and edit the config.txt. Also included in the Boot folder is a copy of the PIM Backup app that you can put on your device and run before flashing to backup your stuff. As far as the patch goes, when you download the 3.5 kitchen it should have a file called CBOW. Delete everything in this folder and replace with the contents of the patch RAR. Then click on the patch.bat and it should copy everything you need into the kitchen. Thes patches will bring the kitchen up to my roms. So, if you patch the kitchen and make a rom without making any changes, it should look like my rom. The patches also contain a copy of the Boot folder that can be placed on the SD for customization. However, if you are cooking your own rom, this may not be necessary since you can put the necessary files into the proper OEMs and you can edit the config.txt in the Customize OEM to install cabs. Standard rules apply when flashing a rom. Make sure you backup all of you data. Then place the phone in Bootloader mode by pressing the Notes (Cassette on left, top) button, the Power button, and reset. The screen should darken and say Serial. Connect to your PC and it should say USB. Then run the installer. Once completed, make sure you do a hard reset. This is done by pressing both soft keys and the reset button. The screen should turn white and prompt you to press "Y". Also, these insturctions are part of the installer.
