Internet Explorer

Thanks again for the help on flashing this new rom. It's incredible! One question though, sometimes the internet explorer shuts down. Any ideas?

Well, I tried another ROM (jbabey's Mario) and it was good, but not good enough to keep me away from this one. It did get me thinking about trying to create a more customized version for myself, but I'll have to wait until I have some serious time to mess around with that.
One note for everyone. I was having some serious issues with the phone hanging after resets and sometimes just for no apparent reason. After some trial and more error, I think I've determined that the culprit was WisBarLite. Other people on the Lakeridge forum were saying the same- so I deactivated it and O2 (which just isn't customizable enough for me, but is an otherwise nice plugin) and installed iLauncher. Now this thing ROCKS!

I'm really convinced that the only things that I want in a customized ROM are the items that don't change or get updated on a regular basis. It seems silly to put PhoneAlarm, iLauncher, PocketBreeze and PocketInformant into a ROM since it becomes a PITA to install the newer versions as they are released. I just want to create a ROM with the stable utilities that don't change much: 1Calc, PPC6700Hacks, MemMaid, some games, maybe a backup utility like Sprite or Spb and then some of the speed tweaks (that Mario ROM is really incredibly fast- don't know if its just the XCPUScalar, but wow...) that don't hurt stability. I hate those hangs just as the phone rings! I'm probably missing some stuff, but so far this kitchen w/Colonel's mods is the best of all.

You're killing me. What the heck is on top of that second image?
Are those icons only on the screenlock or is that something from WM6?

There are a few apps included in this ROM I'd like to replace. Can that be done via the \Boot folder customizations, or would I need to cook my own ROM?

Also though it's mentioned a few posts down the opening post was never updated to clarify usage of the kitchen patch. It still mentions "CBOW" though there isn't such a folder in "Apache WM5 AKU 3.5 Unified ROM Kitchen 1.0.0".

It has to be done in the rom. You are correct, there is no CBOW folder in the released kitchen. Just unzip the patch in a folder in the kitchen.

Colonel, what are the odds of getting that nice WindowsMobile splashscreen with the lightning superimposed- the one that you used for your 3.5.8 Final ROM. I really liked that and the Kitchen/Colonel addins use the regular green one.
