sar_AKU3.5+_pr6.rar has a few bugs, at the top of my today screen, I can see red and green its not aligned completely. I also can not seem to get windows live to run at all, I see two contact icons, two phone icons and two total commander icons. Do you or is there a more recent update? or do I have to go in somewhere to delete some code or what? oh and im glad to see your back as well, hell I feel like I missed you to and ive only been on for a few days reading.... lol Peace and Progress to everyone!

1) That is red/green line is part of wisbarlite. It's the battery meter. You can adjust the colors and I believe take it off completly.

2) I use Window's Live Search and it works perfectly fine. I tried Window's Live before and the only problem i had was the setting for Hotmail "as items arrive" wouldn't stick.

3) You can delete/move the duplicate icons. use file explorer- open windows folder- open start menu folder- delete/move

When I first started with this rom, I got double icons. It was because I was hard-resetting incorrectly. Are you pressing both soft keys (with the minus signs - ) next to the four way toggle while soft resetting?

foakgul: The "save to contacts" and "create a note" were fixed in PR6. They are a known bug in PR4 which is what it looks like you were running in the earlier post. I would REALLY recomend switching to PR6 as there were a number of issues corrected and features added. As to your othere issues, I would really get on PR6 and see if your still seeing them as they could also get fixed with the latest version.
On your black screen issue, this is the DSOD that you will see people talking about. It will happen from time to time, but should not happen too often, if at all if your luucky. Usualy this is casued by the SD card access not correctly waking up. Running apps (mainly system or long running programs) from the SD will add to this happening. Try running these from the internal memory as often as possible. I only put quick apps like games or data (docs, music, movies) to the sd at this point as the ROM easily leaves a lot of space on the internal memory to use and thus leave less chance of a dsod (keep the ie cache and system caches off the SD!!). I know in the release notes of the new kitchen that they are still seeing isssues with DSOD and they have been around since the first os release for the 6700, so unfortunatly it is not limited to this rom. I may see one every other week or so with heavy use. So in a nutshell get on PR6 and minimise the SD usage (or remove it temp.) and see if this clears up your issues. Then slowly add to the SD's usage and see if you can find the app that may be casuing the increased DSOD issue. Also make sure to do a corect hard reset prior and post PR6 install as this seems to be biting a few people, we just need to make sure the install is clean, then re-add your apps (do not restore a backup, activesync is fine) again it needs to not bring in your old reg and system settings as pr6 has new settings. This should get you to a GREAT starting point to troubleshoot any issue that may pop up afterwards if it does not fix them right out

Hi Guys,

I installed pr6 ( I have pr4 before) and I am having problems with the phone locking up if I am in a call and I try to change the options from the menu like enable speaker phone, turn off hands free. Is anyone experiencing this problems. The only software I install in the system are SPB Plus and SPB Backup.

What is the correct method to installed it ? I cannot remember the post. to make sure I did the hard reset when it was necessary. I also have two Total Commader shortcuts.

jdelgado89: Make sure NOT to restore spb backup after upgradign to PR6 as this will revert the reg and files back to PR4 (or whereever the backup was done) and you do not want this and could explain your issues.
A correct hard reset is done with the two soft keys on the front of the 6700 ( the "-" on either side of the windows and ok buttons) both depressed and held while doing a soft reset. You will know it worked if it prompts you with a Y/N to reset the device.

saridnour, sorry if I confuse you I did not restored I just installed spb backup and spb plus does are the only applications I loaded in the phone after the upgrade.

Thanks for the quick answer saridnour! I will upgrade to PR6 at the earliest convenience. Other than that, great ROM! I never noticed DSOD was my problem althou I have come across many posts that mentioned Dark Screen of Death aka DSODs. So now im relieved since, at least, i know its a common problem we are all facing....

Thanks hwnstyle21 the info was very helpful to a novice. I fixed the duplicates and im working on the battery meter now, however, does anyone know how to get windows live to work in pr6. Also, where can I find wm6, or is this it?

yes jendand I did a hard reset correctly. Thanks for the info anyway, I even tried another hard reset. I fixed some of the bugs but im still looking for the windows live that I had with the first rom I tried. I believe it was the krvn AKU 3.5 every since I loaded the new rom, no more win live. someone help! lol.

when I make changes to my vc, it says "cannot save all changes" and as a result, I cannot enable it . if anyone can help, I would appreciate it, im also still reading through the threads. Im still looking for the mms add on and the windows media live.

Hello All,

Has anyone been able to stop ActiveSync from loading with the new ROMs. The Fake Exchange Server trick does not work anymore and I have not seen a new solution.
