Re: sprint insurance replacement

BTW, it was supposed to arrive no later than the 19th because it was on "back order" but I recieved it two days after I called. I think they just say that to try and discourage you from getting an upgrade, as if it costs them anything to send you a refurbished 6800 as opposed to a refurbished 6700.

Re: sprint insurance replacement

Dang I guess I got lucky upgrading from a 6700 to a Touch and it was only my second ppc, but I did use the excuse that i didn't want the same phone due to several issues that I ran into with it (hehehehe) but there was no history on me on replacements. But as of now Touch has not failed me, working better than 6700, lighter, slimmer, and sexier lol

Re: sprint insurance replacement

Just replaced my 6700 through the tep program and they gave me a refurb 6700. Didn't try to change phone. What does the mogal and touch have that the 6700 doesn't have? Not looking to hijack this thread just wondering.

Current uses for my 6700 include. texting, tethering, windows live search, push mail, appointments, hotel alarm, weather.

Thats how i got my mogul... I just told them it was my 7th 6700 when it was really my 1st and the upgraded me

a better key board for starters... you can actually read the numbers in the dark. doesn't have the stupid joystick thing that has broken on 3 out of 4 6700 i have had. no huge antenna protrusion on the 6800. SD card wont shoot across the room. thinner, lighter... shall i go on?

BTW i would gladly trade 2 6700's (one in good condition, just minor scratches, and the other in the same condition except the volume switch broke off) plus accessories for 1 used 6800...

Re: sprint insurance replacement

HAHAA, well i broke my screen today on accident! so i call sprint and try to get a replacement and apparently the have no record of me purchasing insurance on the my phone. so after sitting on hold for like 15 minutes i said forget it and hung up. i called asurion directly and they will be shipping me a 6700 (Damn...) by Wednesday. so i guess for now i will swap my screens so i can have a phone until then. but i will have to call back with in 30 days and report another problem so i can get another replacement so eventually i can have grounds to ask for a 6800...

and so it begins

edit : BTW i no longer have 2 6700 for trade

Re: sprint insurance replacement

my second call was easy going. my replacement phone was locking up...and the usb charging port was really loose. it wasn't charging half the time.

they offered me 6700, 6800, or 6900. i went with the 6800. smoooooth sailing. she stated it was a maximum 6 day wait, and it will be shipped express.

she then noted that it was a new phone. lets see if its new when it gets here.
