Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. I thought for sure I knew how to easily restore email settings, but apparantly I had this confused with something else. Doing other settings is cake. But, now I am on a mission to figure this email thing out. I just need to figure out where the account settings are stored. Since Sprite and SPB backup can restore it, it has to be possible. I just need to find it.

I assume you were just talking about this one.

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/real-picture...6700-t5.html#5

Question though, if this is in the Rom will it jack with Verizon users. Its just the Verizon app right. I assume that the ExtRom for Verizon would overwrite any registry entries I make. Guess I will give it a whirl.

Colonel,

I tried disabling the smart dialer using the HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin/0 regedit and the skin goes away, but my phone still won't take the MSL code. I have to go to "Remove Programs" and completely remove the skin to allow my phone to take the MSL code. Just wanted to let you know, thanks for the hard work.

What did you remove? There shouldn't be anything in there dealing with the dialer. Unless it is something that a Sprint cab puts in. On a fresh install without ExtRom, I only have two programs in Remove Programs. One is nullkeyboard and the other is the Mark All as Read app.
