Ran into errors, I couldn't find on this thread.

Hello everyone. I just installed Colonel's AKU 3.3 Beta 2. It installed just fine but ran into several issues. I did a search but it turned up nothing. Maybe I'm just too new at this forum... but I couldn't find it.

Here it is.

(1) Upon start-up, I get an error that saids, "The file 'SDDAEMON' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.

(2) I have ActiveSync 4.2 and I tried to put my stuff back on. I get an error "There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information. Close programs that are running to free up memory, or restart device.

I did both. I also upgraded to ActiveSyce 4.5 beta. No relief.

(3) When I go into "Contacts", although empty, it opens up, then shuts down immediately! I can't go in to enter a new entry?

Well, that's what I came up with. I would love to find a solution to this as I have over 500 contacts I need to get back into my phone. : (

Thanks!

You probably did not do a complete hard reset after install. Press both soft keys and the reset button. A white screen should come up asking you to press Y.

quick noob question before i start. I just want to make sure I do this right .

My 6700 is Sprint branded.

Is this the only file I need to download and run on order to get AKU 3.3 on my phone with the no junk ext rom

Colonel3.3beta2SprintNoJunkExtRom.zip

And the phone needs to be in boot loader to start. Is this correct?

okay, as a noobie, i've read every post in this thread, and searched for the phrase 'how to put into bootloader mode: and can't find an answer. i'm getting a replacement 6700 next week, and have taken this flu-time to 'play' with the broken one, and flashed htc's official apache upgrade, and am comfortable installing the latest from the colonel, but, how do i put it into bootloader mode? i remember reading, just before the phone tries to install sprint's customization, soft reset then?
Please, I would love to do this tonight.

da_hammer, yes that is correct. You also might want to hard reset before the install. This is not critical, but might help avoid any issues. Definitely hard reset after the install.

1Oddmanout, to put in bootloader mode, press the power button (on top next to SD slot), record button (left side top with cassette on it) and reset button at the same time. The screen should darken and say Serial at the top.

O2 Plus

I can't get O2 plus to fire off any of the scheduled profile changes. Does anyone else see this?

thanks fo rthe rapid answer; wow, i'd have never thunk of all that. Hard reset, bootloader mode, then sync up and run your .exe file?

raymond, check out the O2plus thread here in the forums. Some of your questions were answered I think. If I remember correctly, you have to wait a bit and then soft reset to get the scheduled actions to occur. Also, I believe that if you select any sort of "Divert" the event will not run.

1oddmanout, first hard reset is optional. If you have the time, it doesn't hurt. Then bootloader mode and place on cradle. The darkened screen should now say USB. Then run .exe. Ignore what the installer tells you to do at the end and just do a hard reset.
