It does, however, you will want to follow the instructions in the first thread regarding extracting the installer so you do not install the Sprint or Verizon ExtRom. Really, the best thing to do is to get the latest Telus official upgrade and extract it too. Then just take the ms.nbf from the extracted Telus installer and paste it into the extracted Custom installer. Then just run the MaUpgrade utility.

Also, if you do this second option, could you please zip and send me the ms.nbf from the Telus official upgrade so I can package installers for Telus in the future. This would save a bunch of time. I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

colonel, so i tried your directions but that didn't work.. i extrated original latest telus rom update and your 3.3 custom update to folders, replaced the ms_.nbf file. when i would run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe it would quickly goto the screen which tells you what you have currently on your phone and what will be installed but nothing is listed on this page.. when i remove telus's ms_.nbf file and run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe then it lists colonel 3.3 etc etc ... something in the telus file is not letting me complete this...

Were you in bootloader mode? If you are, it will not tell you what you have on the phone, but it will tell you what is being installed.

yeah i was in bootloader mode.. when i put the telus file into the directory and ran the update it wouldn't list anything for the details of whats being installed.. removed the telus file and all is well.. so what i did was install the telus update.. remove the ppc from the doc.. as i was still in boot loader i installed your update.. hard reset the ppc .. upon startup it instaled all the telus things and now i have your update with my telus setting and the phone is still roaming?

how do i get the phone to stop roaming?

I got it working with the Bell 2.11.710 WWE ExtRom. Let me know what I need to send to you for you to make the packages.

Thanks again for all the effort !

Phone behavior in fringe areas

Anyone else notice that with the new rom, the XV6700 does very poorly in fringe coverage areas? For example, I normally get 1-2 bars of service inside my house with 2.2 but with 3.3 I have 3-4 bars but can't even dial voicemail without the phone going from 3 bars to searching for service.

I have not problems at work where I have full strength no matter where I am.

Redz, I would suggest reinstalling the latest official telus update. This will get you back to square one. Then you can test to see if you are still roaming with the official rom. If you are, then you may have other issues.
