You can download the trial here: http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html
Are you running AKU3.3? If so, is it still working over USB? I was unable to get it to work over USB, but I didn't try until after upgrading to AKU33. Oddly, running this app enabled the DUN profile over Bluetooth while it was installed... I'd much rather use USB, though, as it is much more reliable (lots of RF interference around here).

Yes, running 3.3. And it is working over USB. A friend of mine and I both were testing it. During that testing we did have some issues being able to Enable the thing for USB. It was working fine on mine, until I installed Salling Clicker. I removed Salling, and it worked, I then reinstalled Salling and the removed and reinstalled the usbmodem.cab file, and its been working since then.

I have it working with the "USB Modem" app, and the reg key is not present for me, either. Sadly, I don't think its useful.

Well, it wouldn't need access to that key using USB. This is only for enabling the BT PAN profile. Since we don't have that registry key our phone effectivly does not have the ability to do PAN over BT....

I will see if I can find the registry entry when I get home.

As a stupid side question, is there a definitive way to tell if a laptop has bluetooth capabilities. I finally found a friend that will let me borrow a laptop, but they do not know if it has bluetooth or not. I have looked through some of the apps and settings, but want to make sure I don't miss something before I give up on trying with it.

The "USB Modem" app allows you to access the internet over either USB or BT. I have successfully used the BT version of the program (which looks like DUN to the PC client),and do not have the specified reg key.

Look in device manager (right-click on "my computer", choose properties, hardware tab, device manager button". If it's installed in the laptop then it will surely be listed there, either under "bluetooth" or if no driver is installed then possibly under "unknown devices".

Or you could just get a BT usb dongle.
