One issue, I have never been able to activesync any info. I can install and access the filestructure but never sync any pim data any other data. When I hard reset I have always used a backup of my PIM data and put it back on that way.

I expected some issues with trying to do this and alas, I cannot restore my PIM data this way, it kills the contacts app.

Is there any way to make this compatible? What is the diff in how 3.3 stores PIM data that makes it incompatible?
Yes I did, I read both threads completely many times over the last few days, hence me stating that I expected problems. I did not replace the pim.vol file, I tried using a backup program to see if that might work since no one specifically stated using spb backup to try and transfer PIM data. It does not transfer and that is fine, I can manually reenter my PIM data but if there is a workaround, I would like to try and find it.
The ONLY way to get your info on the device is to sync via A/S. If you need to, reflash your ROM with the regular one, restore a back up, sync with A/S, flash 3.3 ROM, hard reset, sync.

I have never been able to get A/S to sync up any info, I gave up on that a long time ago. I have tried just about everything I could find to fix it but nothing has worked. Oh well, 3.3 is running very fast and stable with phonealarm, WP, and claunch so far.

Ah, I see your confusion now. Restoring a backup only replaces the pim.vol hence the problem.

Have you tried syncing with an Exchange server over the air? I mainly keep a mail2web account to maintain my contacts and make them easy to recreate after a hard reset or rom flash.

Ill try that, looks like I am reverting to 2.0 to try and sync that way. Worth a shot before I enter all my contacts again, good thing I still keep a "little black book" on paper just in case

I would still be interested in finding out what the difference in the pim.vol files are between 2.0 and 3.3.............

Bushrod, Thank You!!!! syncing through mail2web is working great. This solves all of my activesync problems, I now have zero issues with the 3.3 ROM.

Anyone have a solution to the iGuidance issue?
Also, I have noticed that running EVDO drains the battery faster in this AKU than on AKU 2.2

I fixed my A2DP skipping!!!!!!!!!!!! Under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings, I deleted all DWORDs except BitPool to read 48 and UseJointStereo to read 0. All skipping has went away. I also turn on Bluetooth, go to Bluetooth settings and unselect and reselct my device before I turn WMP on. This has eliminated all skipping.

SD Disapearing

Everything was going fine. I installed the following in order:
Unlock Ext Rom to Main Memory
Total Commander to Main Memory
Pocket Informant 2007 to Main Memory
UPX4PPC to Storage Card
SPB Pocket Plus to Main Memory
Microsoft .NET CF 2 to Main Memory
SPB Diary to Main Memory

The only problem I has was after installing MS .NET CF 2 Active Sync would freeze up the phone everytime I tried to sync. I uninstalled .NET CF 2 and Active Sync was fine. Re-installed .NET CF 2 and all was ok. I then installed SPB Time and SPB Weather to Main Memory. At that point my SD Card started Disapearing. The only way to get it back is to remove the SD card and put it back but only after it has been resumed from suspend for several minutes. I'm thinks this must be a registry change that is made in this AKU. I have put in the stability reg hacks(after finding the problem) from sonny486 in the PDAPhonehome forum.

I don't have a "Settings" under that registry ...uh... directory.

Am I the only one?
