My phone is working great now after the update. I did apply all the SD hacks from gratenate and Sonny from pdaphone forum.

I made a cab file that will replace the phoneoff.wav file with a copy of phoneon.wav if anyone wants it.

everything looking good so far. Thanks again..

Can I run this and then run my SPB Backup Restore to get all my apps, etc. back or will that screw up something?

Restoring an old backup is not a good idea since you will be restoring old registry values.

It's best to re-install everything again. I have all my program stored on my storage card as CAB files so re-installing doesn't take much time at all.

Yeah, but not everything has a CAB file for it. In fact most of my apps don't. I even checked the developer's sites too.

Actually you do have the cab files of any software you installed via ActiveSync. Just go to your "C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync" directory and there are folders for each piece of software installed...including the .cab files. Just copy those to your storage card.

Ok I tried the prl update cab with the new custom rom. It turns the radio of as it should and nothing happens for a while (a long while). I soft reset and I lose everything on my today screen. needless to say I hard reset the ppc like 5 times last night trying to make it work but to no avail. I also finally made my own custom rom, but still trying to figure out the way to correctly put in .exe files such as regedit or btaudioOn in the config.txt so they come up in prog files. also can i put .net cf2 and mms at the same time without causing any hangups. any help or suggestions would be grateful.
