Could you pls fix the following, so i can install it on AKU 3.3 .. It is getting stuck @ installing PPST.exe. No matter how many times i edit Config.txt in "EXT_ROM" it still runs it..

I tried 5 times already, still not able to pass PPST.exe install stage...

PLS fix, so i can load EXT_ROM w/o Junkware:

I see you have both the 20225cab and the ppst.exe it in the beginning of the config file list.
Would it matter if I put it near the end of the config txt list, or in the middle before the last application cabs ?

Nope- tried it and no go. I did however, put MadManx's PPST self updating CAB file in the rom and ran that instead of what Mike had. It worked beautifully.

I'm not sure if this will work or not, but when WLS originally wouldn't work (prior to installing CF1) I sent an email to the MS support team.
I got this response:
Hey S****,

Thanks for your email--sorry for the inconvenience! The app isn't signed yet because it's just beta, but we just got the signed bits back (just haven't had a chance to post them yet), so I've attached the file here...just rename it from .exe_ to .exe, and copy it over the app on your device, and you'll be good to go. (if you can't get the app to install at all, you can just put this file in Program Files and create your own shortcut).

I love this AKU2.2 Beta 2 ROM. Its way fast and I dig all the new sounds. Plus it works with all my Apps. I was on AKU 3.3 for a few days but I couldn't get Goodlink to install on it and I really *need* GL for my work mail as I use Exchange Active Sync for my personal mail. I really wish WM5.0 or 6.0 would allow for more than one Exchange server on Poulook - that would be sweeet! Anyway, thanks for this ROM, its the best I can do for now and I'm lovin' it!

is there a reason that I can no longer set up my Yahoo, Gmail, and PCS Business Connection accounts at the same time after this ROM?

I was able to before, but now whichever one I set up first will always be there and the newer ones just disappear. Is there something I am missing? Thanks!

I feel same way. There are less issues but I am going to move onto colonel's 3.3 .

Wideawake, I was reviewing your Sprint No_junk extrom for a base for my extrom, and even though I have to edit out a cab and the ppstfile, I notice some of your rom smaller and combine other cabs, so i like this Extrom better than stock.

I also noticed in your first post you mentioned :

This is great info and I was hoping you could suggest those files to the rom kitchen thread or the two new rom threads.

This site is really exciting to me to see all this work going on and I just wanted to thank everyone involved for making my poor sorrry ass 6700 into real performance unit.

Also about battery life:
I noticed my hardware version is 0041 and my manufactures date is july 2006 and refurb date Nov 2006.
With this newer unit and using 2.2b2rom I have practically double the battery life of my old unit and old rom fromm Jan 06.
So I suggest anyone still with old unit look into this further.

I dunno, personally I find 3.3 to be the best so far.. (had probs with 3.5)
