Good ? the extrom is basically storage space, that u can install too, if unlocked/unhide. This does automate the installs and left me with about 33MB in program and storage. Maybe this helps?

So on the apache where it lists 43.5 megs storage, that doesn't include the 9 megs of ext rom? then why is it when you trim out the junkware you gain several megs in storage?

There isn't anything to give you when it comes to removing junkware. You have to unlock you Ext Rom and edit the config.txt. Thats it, no CABs needed.

The CABs here are mostly my doing to help with this ROM Mike is cooking us. It is additional tweaks you may or may not want for yourself. You're just going to have to read the posts and see if it is something you're intrested in. I mainly mod and compress the builtin CABs right now (working on some custom stuff too... Give me time to get the bugs out), so they may not be what you're looking for.

Check out these threads for more info reguarding Ext ROM hacks and Mods:
http://ppcgeeks.com/how-to-customize...rom-t1395.html and http://ppcgeeks.com/how-to-remove-fa...hods-t360.html

And keep an eye out for work others are doing here as we do post mods that can be added to the Ext ROM.

Oh coool got it now.

Installed Cabs file, reinstalled Sprint_Custom.rar, now It still shows: "3m41" for Calendar? How to fix this?

Any other patches to be done at this point? I see some reg-hacks have been posted in couple posts above.. Are they included in SPRINT_CUSTOM.rar? Thanks!

You are going to need a registry editor like phm, or regeditce to fix that. Right now it opens up your mail, text messages, etc. To fix, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\today\keys\11 2
change the default key to watever you want it to be (e.g Mail/Text/SMS) or to change it back to original change that to calendar and change open to calendar.exe

I had that same problem but it was only after i tried to do the manual PRL update which I was doing wrong. I have installed it on 4 phones so far with this update and havent had a problem since. Check and make sure you did install everything correctly on your ppc.
