A2DP Audio and Locking UP Issues

Hello all ..my very first post!

I would just like to thank Helmi and robmayer and everyone else on this forum who had a hand in making WM6 available on the 6700. I was running AKU 2.2 for the longest time before I updated to Helmi's WM6. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! SO FAST AND NICE!

I am currently on robmayers Sprint version 4 and so far only problems I had were blue tooth stereo skipping (was ok in version 1, 2, and 3) and lock up of the phone from time to time (found that it was SPB pocket plus and HTC Task Manager that didn't like each other). If i removed one or the other it works fine but would lock up a lot when i have both installed.

As for the A2DP bluetooth issue i was able to get it working from fixes i read on this post:

Thank You again robmayer and Helmi and everyone else who contributed to keeping HTC Apache alive!

Just checking back in... I up'd to V4 and have had no problems other than 1 reset since up'ing. I think that was due to me trying something stupid in the registry.

With Lazyboy's iphone previously with Helmi's build, I was getting lockups all the time, especially with the slide out keyboard. With Robmayer's ROM (based on Helmi's) no lockups.

Maybe it's because there's more memory free with less programs running I'm not sure. But props to MS and HTC for making a good product, Helmi for making it better and RobMayer for making it faster. (at least for me)

Anyone using radio 1.43 with Sprint? I tweaked my vocoder settings and seem to have lower actual speaker volume with this radio than an older version. Or maybe I'm aging like computers and our phones and the ROM"s that are being cooked.... a new one every 2 minutes.. LOL

Hi guys, I'm having a problem upgrading to this! I put it into bootloader mode fine, connected to PC (tried both an xp and vista), but it says use correct rom upgrade utility! Both xp and vista said that. I used vista to upgrade to verizons latest radio/rom just fine (actually perfect upgrade, no hiccups!). I wonder why this program is doing this?

Might have bootloader 2.05. What does it say at the bottom of the screen when you put it into bootloader? If it says v. 2.05, that's why and you will have to talk to somebody in the chatroom to get help, or pm me and I will walk to through getting back to v. 2.02 so you can flash WM6.

Documents in Start Menu

Hey guys,

I have put the link in my downloads section for the documents in start menu.
www.6700development.com/downloads.html

When you unzip the archive, copy icons32.dll to \Windows and documents to \Windows\Start Menu.

Thumbs up Awesome work!

Great Job on this Rom. I had used Helmi's first release up to today. Had so many tweaks I didn't want to change, but then gave in to the lure of a cleaner WM6.
Here are the only changes I needed to make:
1. MMS would only work with Sprint IP in address for picture mail.
2. Added new pocketplus program from spb.
3. A2dp- had to change registry for s9 to work correctly without skips.
4. Added voice command fix project. Works great!
That's it! All my software works great.
Worldmate/ Expenseplus/ Live Search/ Laridian Bible/ Spb backup/ skype/ sprint tv/ nfl mobile/ mortplayer/ space reclaimer/ vistahide battery guide/minutes of meeting

Has Helmi retired?

I'm wondering if Helmi_c has given up on Apache development, or just lost interest in PPCGeeks. He hasn't even made a post since Sept. 3rd.

I would not hold my breath for an "official" kitchen from him. I know it takes a lot of development time for these things, but the lack of any postings is not a good sign, especially when you are a Super Moderator.
