Stuck on Splash Screen

Hey guys-

I'm stuck on the splash screen. I can probably just hard-reset, but I'd like to avoid doing that if this happens again. Any thoughts on getting "un-stuck" without hard-reseting?

Thanks!!

few things that i've noticed....

1) when in an app, and the data connection is on, pressing the end key doesn't minimize the app. (if i'm in txt menu and i wanted to minimize it and go bak to IE, i have to go start->today screen)
2) There is no menu on the HTC-X button (that's the one that came w/ the rom right?) to c wat apps r running... u know, that little drop down menu that u can get to swith between apps.
3)IE is scrolling really really really slow. I went to Intomobile.com (which btw has an article on Helmi_C.. as do basicall all other mobile websites) and if the view is set to "One Column" it scrolls faster, but if it's set to "Desktop" it takes forever to scroll down to the bottom or scroll to the side.

that's about it for now

Smile RE: Stuck on Splash Screen

I've found that if I have the HTC Today Plugin enabled, then install Weather Panel or Phone Alarm, on the next soft reset, my phone will get stuck on the splash screen. I've had this issue since WM5 3.5 1.03 ROM. It may happen with other added today plug-ins, but I have narrowed it down to the HTC today plug-in. My co-worker has a verizon xv6700 as well and his does the same. I like the HTC today plug in, but I like Weather Panel and Phone Alarm better, and also don't have to hard reset my phone when I lose a charge on my phone. When a kitchen comes out, I will keep the HTC plug-in out.

when I first put WP on mine, it locked up at the welcome/splash screen. ended up doing a hard reset and starting from scratch, and put WP on first.. no problems since. I use SPB mobile shell and have WP as one of its tabs.

I haven't tried phone alarm yet.

Thank you Helmi....and the crew

all looks good so far, had to do 2 Hard Resets to get it working with Verizon.

1. any way to take the "tap here to search for bluetooth devices" off the front screen?

2: a: on the programs it shows UNLOCK ext rom? what is this for?
b: on my MEMORY it now show ext rom and storage card ?

Kitchen requests:

ppc hacks,
flashlight

and thank you to all who make those kitchens
