I started this thread so we can start collaborating and fixing bugs.

1. *********Word Completion Issues************

****Had to hard reset and it word completion works now******



2. *************WPA-PSK TKIP Workaround thanks to Member nico4k*************

I FOUND A WAY TO FOR THE WIFI TO WORK WITH WPA-PSK TKIP.
THIS IS HOW I DID IT: (i recommend to soft reset your device before you try this to ensure success chances)

1. TURN YOUR WI-FI ON. THEN CONNECT TO YOUR WIRELESS NETWORK (ENTER YOUR WPA KEY ETC).

2. LE THE WI-FI DO IT'S THING FOR ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS. (IN THE MEANTIME GO TO THE COMM MANAGER)

3. NOW TURN THE WI-FI OFF (WAIT 2 SECONDS) AND TURN IT BACK ON. WALA, YOU SHOULD CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY RIGHT-AWAY (AFTER A FEW SECONDS) TO THE WI-FI YOU JUST CONFIGURED.

(THIS EVEN WORKS WHEN THE PHONE GOES TO SLEEP MODE, THE WIFI RECONNECTS WITHOUT ANY ISSUES)

3. ******Built in phone lock issues********

I myself had the issue of if you enable the built in phone lock or use exchange with forced phone lock policy, after almost every soft boot, the phone will lock up at the lock number pad. Well I don't have a total fix but this worked for me. Must be fast on your fingers and as soon as the lockpad comes up dial in your code and go for the unlock softkey. It will get you through.
I have also noticed if you wait after the soft reset and when bluetooth re connects to a paired headset, it will lock up on the lockpad. I have tried and removed phoneExt_service.dll from the registry and softbooted using shutxp and now the lockpad will not lock up on soft reset for me. But I am now having issues with the dialer. If anyone has any other input on this please pm me and I will gladly add it to this issue.

5. ***********Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.4622.0**********

ID Transfer is not working. Also VC dies intermittently and stops responding from the bluetooth paired headset. It and also causes the phone to lock up intermittently requiring a soft reset. I gave up on using this until the kitchen is released. If anyone has had better luck please let me know.

BTW Microsoft Voice Command is not freeware. It's not included in this rom. Please go and purchase your own copy.

6. ***********Phone Carrier Codes***************

None are working as of yet. If you need to update your roaming, search to forums on how to manually update it.

Phone codes are working if you install the updated Big Button Dialer for the mogul. Click on the link below to get it.

7. *************HTML Email***************

Works with any pop and imap and if using Microsoft Exchange, it will only work with Microsoft Exchange 2007. Sorry any older version of Exchange is all txt.

8. **************WM6 Internet Sharing********************

A bunch of people have reported this and there is a workaround. Disable Advanced Network Functionality un USB to PC in Settings. Soft Reset. Turn off bluetooth. Turn on Internet Sharing and plug phone in. This seems to do it every time.

i always hard reset 4-5 times after flashing a new rom. even before i sync the device, before i started doing this i used to have a lot of trouble getting "some" apps to work properly. now most of the problems that other people have i don't. now i cant swear this helps, may just be my superstitious nature but knock wood .

Well, I was going to wait for the kitchen to be released, but I couldn't stand the suspense any more and had to upgrade. So far it is working GREAT, with one exception...

My only problem is that I could not get the WM6 version of the p@lm threaded SMS app to work. Text messaging works fine -- until I install that program and then the device won't send/receive texts at all. I realize this is probably an issue with the app, but others don't seem to be having this problem on other devices. I was wondering if anyone else has tried installing it and could report back.

Other than that, I can't wait for the kitchen...

edit: Html does not work with this PUSH service. The "get html" option is grayed out.

Test it, if you can get skype to make and accept calls using the internal speaker, then voila. Most likely all sound will still be redirected to external speaker. There is no built in soft phone app in WM6 so you'll have to download one.

With that being said, and although this isn't exactly a bug, it is likely undesirable by most - The IR beam is set to "on" by default.
Also-
No longer can use "advanced" setting in the standard Search program.

To save battery life make sure you all go into settings->connections->beam and deselect "recieve all incoming beams".

You can use the "included" File Explorer to do advanced searches

Have not had any lockups or issues since flashing, but that's also because I haven't installed many of the programs I had before. Realize that not all apps designed for WM5 will work well with WM6. Sometimes the developer will come out with the same app for WM6, so if you find a certain app behaving differently, then realize that it may not be fully compatible.

No I just meant for exchange sync... HTML e-mail should work fine with POP and IMAP servers... not sure about Hotmail (via Windows Live).

Mail2web (not sure bout emoze) is Exchange 2003, so no HTML e-mail through them. I believe they plan to upgrade to 2007 later this year.

go to settings/buttons then remap button 4 (press & hold) to comm mgr, it will work again.
