No need to buy 6800 yet
I am a first time poster, but was a frequent guest looking for tips and tricks for my PPC-6700. I thought about buying the Mogul just to get WM6. Now, I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars for a new phone. I now have WM6 on my perfectly good 6700!
Thanks, Helmi_c...you are truly the man! Thanks for all your hard work and to everyone who helped contribute to your efforts! |

Come on.
Please. Someone give us a clue as to when a new ROM and/or Kitchen will be released. Hours? Days? Weeks?

I'm not sure why this happens though. I saw a dropoff when I went to the 1.41 radio and then again with WM6. I do notice that this OS seems to do a lot more stuff in the background. I use a program that monitors opens and closes of programs with sounds and it's much more "chatty" with this ROM than with WM5. Dunno, but that may be part of it. |

On the plus side, I know they're using some of the newer tools from xda-developers on the 6800 ROM effort...maybe we'll benefit from that.

When receiving text messages I do not get a phone number. It takes the first word from the text message and puts it in the "From" line of the message. So when I click 'reply', the recipients number is not there, instead it is the first word in the message body. Is there a separate thread for this, or is this a first noticed issue?

You let the customizations run on first boot. Hard reset your phone, then when it says "Customizing in 3 seconds," soft reset. Everything will be fixed then.
