Thumbs up No need to buy 6800 yet

I am a first time poster, but was a frequent guest looking for tips and tricks for my PPC-6700. I thought about buying the Mogul just to get WM6. Now, I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars for a new phone. I now have WM6 on my perfectly good 6700!

Thanks, Helmi_c...you are truly the man! Thanks for all your hard work and to everyone who helped contribute to your efforts!

Come on.
Please.
Someone give us a clue as to when a new ROM and/or Kitchen will be released. Hours? Days? Weeks?

I noticed this too. My battery life dropped off quite a bit with this ROM. My batteries weren't helping either (two old original batteries). I picked up a 1500mAh battery from Seidio and it works great. I can live with the battery life now.

I'm not sure why this happens though. I saw a dropoff when I went to the 1.41 radio and then again with WM6. I do notice that this OS seems to do a lot more stuff in the background. I use a program that monitors opens and closes of programs with sounds and it's much more "chatty" with this ROM than with WM5. Dunno, but that may be part of it.

Where does this file reside? I couldn't find it in the Windows directory...

You can usually tell when kitchen release is near by frequent rumors of so-and-so running a new ROM build. Haven't heard any of those, so I'm guessing weeks to a kitchen. I've heard rumors of maybe another trial ROM, but not recently.

On the plus side, I know they're using some of the newer tools from xda-developers on the 6800 ROM effort...maybe we'll benefit from that.

When receiving text messages I do not get a phone number. It takes the first word from the text message and puts it in the "From" line of the message. So when I click 'reply', the recipients number is not there, instead it is the first word in the message body. Is there a separate thread for this, or is this a first noticed issue?

You let the customizations run on first boot. Hard reset your phone, then when it says "Customizing in 3 seconds," soft reset. Everything will be fixed then.

Customizations completed as normal, however still does not show senders number, nor does the system reply to the correct number.
