Help, I have downloaded the new BuildOS and installed in XP pro. I ran the updater and all of the files are there.

The problem is that when I open BuildOS it asks where my selections.txt is. It looks in projects and there is nothing there.

The second problem is that none of the OEM selections are populated from the RAR. The ones I put in MyOEM show up just fine but only them???

You haven't successfully downloaded a kitchen yet. Use the updater (preferred method) or PPCKitchen downloads

well i finally got it to work by turning off everything but the barebones. I will definatly be looking forward to some sort of update that will allow me to install everything that I want. (The size is OK, i've already checked that)

if anyone has any clues to my problem (posted several posts back) lemme know, thanks

make sure both the kitchen and OEM files are located under kitchen folder. If not download them from the FTP which was linked by Gguru on page 35 or 36.

so i've noticed that my storage card is slow to initialize under file explorer. i'm using the gs? addon from the kitchen. it seems to be fine when i run the apps i have installed to it, but when i open explorer, 2 out of every three times i have to reseat the card. is the problem most likely my card? sorry for a lack of app name, i'm not near my comp and my brain failed.

Edit: GSfinder??? maybe??

Thanks Gguruusa, but that did not work either. I had run the updater and it had placed all of the files in the Kitchen folder.

I have removed and reinstalled everything and still no change.

I have used the 6.0 update without a problem. Is that causing a problem with the new install???

Check your .rar file sizes, Wizzard.

OK, the Shareware file is 8228kb, the Apache_helmi_WM6.1.rar files is 29632kb, and the PPCgeeks_OEM.rar is 48,644kb.

I have removed and reloaded several times and still no change in that BuildOS opens and asks for my selections.txt and when I cancel that, there is nothing in the kitchen except the files from USER_OEM.

Of course there's nothing there...you didn't load anything. You need a selections.txt, and it should have been downloaded by the updater. No worries, just get it from http://ppckitchen.org/downloads. Put it in the projects folder.

Hey gguruusa, will there be an option in the updater to re-download?

I also wasnt able to find a link for the "shareware rar" on the ppckitchen.org, mayby I am blind :0

Anyway your link above is great for re-downloading all the files, thnx!
