Just make sure you know, that you still have to reinstall those programs, that are on your storage card. You won't find them on your Start Menu, and some may be very hard to launch. Best bet would be just get used to the idea of re-installing, because usually you can just copy all of the files in the storage card, like for example this: xxx Program which is installed to main memory. /Storage Card/Program Files/xxx Program Copy the entire folder xxx Program, and then paste it somewhere else. Then reinstall your program, and copy those files back and click yes to replace. This won't work for all of the programs, because some write settings into the registry.

I have been using my home PC to build my ROMS but I am about to download the new kitchen on my laptop. Is it neccesary to download the patch in post 1 or has that been updated in the kitchen? Will that be included in the one I am downloading today?

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
Ok, I just realized, that I messed up the post above. I meant to say when it is installed to Storage Card.
So, give it a try, but just consider that you may need to still re-install. Another thing to do, is backup or save the registry, where the programs write to. This would be the same effect as replacing the programs folder, which would possibly, keep 100% of your settings. There might be a difference, if you have programs like Spb P+, where it installs different parts of the program, depending on whether or not, TouchFlo is installed. If TouchFlo is installed, it doesn't fully install, all of the features. So, it is something that takes practice, and understanding of the program that you are trying to restore. |
