You don't need a seperate dialer for WM6.

Basically loving what I have, but wondering if there is a new version coming anytime soon? I am thinking about reflashing as I have somehow made my Windows folder in Main memory disappear when browsed through Active Sync.

I probably killed it changing properties in files in the ROM so I could update one of my programs.
Edit: Actually Phone Weaver.

Edit: Total Commander could see Windows, and after examining it in there, it came back through Active Sync on my PC. Don't know why, but it is fixed. Wasn't reboots or resets.

General Question:

Does ROM space have a partition size limit, which if unfilled, is wasted?
Or does RAM space shrink as ROM space grows, and our use of the Kitchen determines the ratio?
I know the external ROM is fixed at 9.9 MB, used or wasted.

- Yes, rom partition is fixed - wasted if not filled.
- No, RAM is RAM and Flash has a fixed partition between rom and storage. (No memory toggle like previous devices.)
The WM Team Blog has some good info on memory usage, e.g.: http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/...19/453784.aspx

Hi, Does the "Storage Memory" mean ROM and "Program Memory" mean the RAM? If so, looks like I only using 1/5 th of my ROM Need to install more junk when building my ROM I guess. Any drawbacks to it? Thanks much!

Program Memory is RAM (expensive, power hungry, fast, and volatile)
Storage Memory is NOT the same as ROM. (They both occupy different parts of the 128MB of Flash memory on the device.) The storage memory usage you read has absolutely nothing to do with how full your rom is. Storage memory Total is 39.59MB, and (with a few exceptions) this should be empty right after flashing. It will fill up as you add more programs and data to the phone.

Ok. So how do I make sure I am utilising my ROM fully? I am not sure if the Kitchen gives you this info.. thanks

Your's is a common and reasonable request in the threads. I remember Gguruusa was working on a rough rom-size meter for BuildOS, but it's just not there yet (as of the 11/17/07 release). So for the time being you'll know your rom is fully utilized when it works fine, but adding 1 more app. pushes you over the edge and causes one of the symptoms of an over-full rom.
I personally just put in what I know I need/want - I have no idea whether the result is 60%, 85%, or 99% full - it just doesn't matter.
