That's a new one. Did you turn UAC off? Did you revert the sync driver back to default?

I did turn off UAC... went to modaco's fix... so I had HTC listed in the device manager. Loaded the RUU -- drivers.....

Very strange.. I wish I could narrow it down to help you guys out.... I may try it again just to see...

question about the User_OEM. I have my slide2unlock customized and would like to use the kitchen to install my customizations. Is there a link to somewhere I can review what I need to change in the OEM...rar to grab my settings?

Began with AKU3.3 Bootloader 2.05
Reverted to Bootloader 2.02 via http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=80830&postcount=1

Currently Bootloader 2.02
ROM 3.14.30
Radio 1.43
When attampting to flash ROM (in bootloader mode) error message that ROM image is not designed to work with device.
What am I missing here ...?

Before building your ROM, look at the top of the BuildOS window where it says "Standard". Click that and choose NoID. Put your phone in bootloader mode (hold down the power and notes buttons and while held down put the stylus in the reset hole--the screen should go dark and stay dark). Then connect to your PC and click Play in BuildOS.

Earlier posting I read that the "native crossbow" dialer skin is a defalt + there were others in the kitchen, and that one can also be selected.
Where are the phone dialer skins located?

Currently using 20071108

I haven't had any problems with this kitchen and Vista, other than the aforementioned necessity to keep changing which USB port I'm using. I haven't applied any patches or fixes, just using whatever version of the kitchen is current.

Now, I did turn of UAC a long long time ago. I keep trying to go to a very low priveleged account, and keep finding that I have too many software items that don't work well when run that way. I'm about ready to give that a try again. I'm sure I'll have to "Run As Administrator..." for the ROM flash, but I can deal with that.

Gracias.

You can create a USER_OEM with tierman's OEMizer found in the Tools folder. Select the "Additional Registry Entries" option, paste in your edits, then create your OEM. I suggest you check out the other options he has built into that program, as they are incredibly helpful.

Hey, I just received my first MMS since throwing the kitchen on ... everything seems to work fine (notifies me of it downloading, notifies me of a message ready to view ... but when I play it, the screen inside the player is just white. I double checked to see if it was me by sending myself a MMS ... same thing.

The attachement is there ... any ideas?
