I hear you loud and clear, my wife's friends also have the iPhone and she's got to have something that works for her (and that runs the same software that her friends use). So, iCaved on that one.

DInc 2 announce today, available this Thursday. I'm still hopeful that next Thursday is WP7 day..

what do u guys think about the htc 7 pro compared to the trophy? since verizon is rumored to be getting the 7 pro which one are u guys leaning towards?

normally i would have said the 7 pro because of the keyboard i love qwertys but from what i read/seen in the reviews theresa bit of some input lag and issues with the camera quality but overall the reviews say its a good phone.

i may have to take the trophy over the 7 pro especially since the trophy SHOULD be coming out first

this ^. I love me a good physical qwerty, but if it comes down to waiting until Christmas, I'm gunna take the plunge with the trophy. I've heard enough good things about WP7's virtual keyboard that I'd be ok living with that I think.

I prefer a LARGE screen with a slim design so I can easily pull it from my front pocket even when sitting/driving. With a LARGE screen I can easily type on the screen, read emails, read attachments and browse the web (none of those while driving).

The physical qwerty keyboard might be good if I typed really long replies to e-mails but I use my notebook for that so I don't have any interest in a physical keyboard on my phone - perhaps if they could do so without increasing the bulkiness I would be OK with it.

I think I'm going to probably give up (for now) on Verizon and Sprint. I'll get the HD7S when ATT starts carrying them on a trial basis. If I don't lose any calls after 2 weeks of use, I'll switch over my line. Chances are pretty good the HD7S will be available on ATT before Verizon is done "testing" their small screened Trophy. Monthly rates between ATT and Verizon are about the same so it won't impact me that way. Plus I'll get free calling to everyone who has an iPhone which are most of my friends on ATT and free calling to most of my business clients who travel abroad who are also on ATT. Lastly ATT is more than likely to get just about any new WP7 phone that isn't even on the radar yet.

If Verizon gets the Arrive (AKA Pro7) and no SLCD, I might say no to it with a contract (Verizon only has 2 year or no contract, no more 1 year). If it's around $300 non contract I'll grab it.

After seening the Super AMOLED and Super LCD displays, My Touch Pro 2 (about the same screen as the Arrive) is no longer impressive and I hate it.

Does the Arrive have a 3.6" display ? At least the Trophy has a 3.8" with a SLCD display, it's about the only difference that might save it.

A 4.3" screen has about 1.5 times the area 3.6" screen. I'm about 6' tall I consider 4'10" tall ex girlfriend quite petite. I also consider a 40" plasma a small screen - depends on what you are used to working with I guess.

A 4.3" screen is about 1.3 times as large as a 3.8" screen.

I'm pretty sure the Trophy won't be coming out on May 5th sense that is the last day for the Microsoft offer and Steve Sapp said that the phone can't be released when the offer is still available. I'm hoping for the following Thursday or even the weekend following the offer.

I have a Fathom right now with a 3.2" screen, so a 3.8" will be a nice change for me. I haven't ever held a 4.3" phone before, but I would imagine they would be bulky and cumbersome. It would be sure nice to watch movies though!

I think it depends on the size of your hands. If you are an average caucasion male, I would imagine it could be even go to 5" without the screen being too large for one handed typing. Acer is about to release a 4.8" pdaphone. If you are a petite woman, it might be more difficult to type 1 handed.

We'll see on the May 5th thing. At least a solid press release with a release date would make me happy.

You have a Fathom ? Asurion offered me one and I said NO WAY, that 3.2" screen was just way too small. I have a Touch Pro 2 now (a 3.6" display, same size as the Arrive has), I have played with the HD7 (4.3" TMo) and the Evo 4G (4.3" Sprint) and I found it nice.

They are very slim line phones and at first It looked kind of big but, after handling it, I liked the larger screen much better. If you have bigger hands like me, you'll love it. I have tried to use onscreen keboards on a few phones in the 3.2-3.6" displays and always have problems, that is why I want a keyboard but, a 4.3" display would solve that problem

I really liked the HD7, I mean I love it but, T-Mo sucks in my area. AT&T is coming with the HD7s (HD7 with a Super LCD display) man that is tempting...
