Why does everyone hate the iphone?

Do you need iTunes to put music on an iphone? If so my phone still wins as my choice for a music player. It's not that I have a problem with apple. I do my research and get whats best for my needs. Also I don't want to be associated with the smug and uninformed apple fans. They say things like "It doesn't get viruses," "It's faster," "It doesn't freeze," or the simple, "It's better." Yet my experience has proven the exact opposite. Other products fit my needs much better, but apple fans still insist that I should switch. It gets annoying. If they make a product that suits my needs better, then I'll buy it.

On another note:
So it's been what? 3 iphones that have been released and they all look the same. Now the ipad was released and what does it look like? I thought apple was all about thinking outside the box and being different and creative. What happened to that?
Add that I can get a netbook with a lot more storage, just as long battery life, webcam, an actual keyboard as well as better browsing plus can use it on any network and it's cheaper, but Steve Jobs says his ipad is a better choice. I for one fail to see what's so great about it.

LOL.. No you dont need Itunes to put music on the iphone.. I too cant stand Itunes, so I dont use with my iphone to put music on.. there are several alternatives for this..

really? how can i put a playlist on my daughter's ipod touch without itunes? thought i had to let it convert all my music over.....

so during the youtube video around the 17 second mark i literally reached in my pocket, pulled out my iphone, opened up the notes and started texting what was already on the omnia screen.. strangely enough i finished at just about the same time considering how the demonstrator had a head start and i still corrected a few mistakes that i made.. i dont really consider myself a master "texter" considering i just got the phone a month an a half ago. the guy using the iphone was purposely texting a great deal slower because there is no way i should have been able to reach in my pocket, pull it out, and finish up the same time as the omnia user. not trying to down swype, but lets have a REAL comparison instead of trying to trick viewers into believing something that isnt true. i challenge you iphone users to do the same thing i did and i guarantee you will find the same thing i did. not to mention had i already known what i was going to type im positive id finish way before the swype.. but it is kool how he did that with only one finger (kudos.. but who really texts with one finger, i mean really?)

First swype is a personal preference, not all people will like it or want to use it, I for one don't see the need for it.
Second, the people who are totally against iPhone are usually people who never used one and/or people to just don't like Apple.
Third, people who are against WinMo are the same as the number 2 just never used one or just dead set hating Microsoft.
Fourth, anything one phone can do, there are ways to make the other phone do it, period.
Fifth, jailbreaking, flashing new ROMS: the point of either to make the device exactly how you want it. Is there a need for either? No, but do ALOT of people do it to make them better, obvisouly or there would not be TONS of info (even at this site) about the topics.
Sixth, people who say jailbreaking and flashing new ROM are pretty much the same, they pretty are. See some 5, they both are so make the devices better for the user.


In conclusion; both types of devices are good. If you don't like one then that is of your own choice.

Mods, can you just go ahead and shutdown this thread. Seems like it's full of people blindly stating they hate one device without giving some thought to it, just so they can say they "hate it".

this has been EXACTLY what ive been saying since my first post.. there really is no reason at all to hate the iphone, thats why i dont understand it, yeah you can prefer not to have one.. but what is the concept behind hating it? its a really good device that took cell phones to another level.

Me too. I mean if the iPhone had not come out, would there be as many touch screen phones out there? Would WinMo have been advanced from them as it is now? Most likely not.
Even if people do hate the iPhone for valid reason, they should at least thank Apple for making to ramp up the whole touch screen/smart phone craze.
