At least there was with the TP energy rom. I'm new to the TP2 version since i just got my TP2 today.

Just scroll over to settings, then 1st one that says Personalize... customize tabs

So, I'm curious, does the spb install completely remove & replace whatever startmenu you are using in the ROM? I'm guessing not, because if I switch back to my today screen (Cookie2, Easy or iphone) it still has a settings & it's the same as when I left it. So the question, if you simply installed it over the top of the orig cookie & startmenu, it would have less RAM correct? (I installed it over a startmenu I had already changed to panel.. thus already had the RAM savings).. So, using the NRG ROM is essential unless you want to do it manually as linked below...?! (thoughts?)

Re. spb talk, it's running on top of & enhances performance... we use NRG as our base ROM, & I still switch back to Cookie, use his burned in apps, startmenu, etc... we're simply pushing the limits & testing it out. (hacking, ect..) At this point, I've paid my dues & am not answering keyboard Q's, where's the X button, what is task29 questions anymore.. gotta leave stuff for others to get to VIP... plus I've done it a zillion times.. so what's left? New stuff... way cool

Over a month ago when I started getting into the startmenu replacements & extra RAM, asked NRG about it in a post in this thread... the next ROM, he burned in Quick Menu, and then the next one we had 5 options!!!!!!! Would be a lot different if we had multiple other threads in which we were posting almost the exact same information & exchanging the same ideas.. (as has happened in the past)

So, off topic? Maybe, does it lead to a better ROM build & does the real man (NRG) listen in? You bet he already did!

I have just been useing the qmenu as the start menu. There is a option in it called "Override Start" and it does take over the soft start key but not the hard key. So you can have the soft key goto the spb start menu and the hard key gives you the windows start menu. Kinda slick in a way!

I know that swype was removed because of that XDA rule, but NRGZ28 Tweeted that he'd post it so in his add-on's page so we could xda_uc it. I looked but can't find it.

Anyone find it or has he just not posted it yet?

I have 2 questions ?

1. i have SPB backup app i perform a complete full backup. IF NRG release same rom with different version. ie oct 25 to Nov 2nd. how best i can load my program's - apps -all my settings - and quick links ? i hate to spend 2 hours everytime loading all my settings and program to Sd card. i have everything running from Sd card.

2. does anyone have a battery saving cab i need to improve my nrg rom touch of glass 21916 2.0 i use blue tooth alot and i know it sucks up battery but is there some tweaks i can use to save battery life..'may be it 1% battery meter if it is how can i replace with regluar 10% batter meter ? only would like to do this if it is going to help with battery life.

So I saw this at the end of your post. Now I'm wondering, does it just speed up your device by not checking certificates? I'm not sure what it does or if affects antthing else. Can you please elaborate as to what it does. Also I'm on Touch of Glass 21683, which one do I need to download? On your link it says 21682. But they also have 21683 posted. Do I install to the device, or can I install it to the memory card? Lastly, how do I inststall the file? Dumb it down for me if you can please. Thanks.
