I have tried searching for a solution to this problem but to no avail. I am using the latest dinik rom 21xxx and i am having problems when phone wakes up from standby. i need to keep pushing the power button many times before the phone turns on and lock screen comes on. been having this problem with the last few nrgy roms i have used. any help on this issue?

Well, I am by now convinced that when I flashed the Sept 18 GTX 23*** ROM something went wrong and ruined my phone. Because I flashed it several times since, did the Task 29, etc, and it is still ridiculously slow. I overclocked it to 710 mhz, and almost no difference. For example, opening the menu (be compact, panel or sense) takes at least two attempts and a long wait. I have no idea what I did, I did not Task 29 or do it from the computer, I did put the file on the sd card and flashed from there. So I recommend y'all not to try that any more, it can mess something up.
Last night instead of going out, I stayed playing with it, flashed the simple Cookie ROM, and played with it for a while, without anything else, no SD only the contacts from MyPhone and it was still slow. I have plenty of RAM. I am going to check next time I go to Houston and see if I can find a reasonably priced phone and change it, maybe even get an HD2 and keep the TP2 for when I go overseas.
Now I need to go ride bikes and forget about it.
Better yet, maybe run over it with a bike...

Any one know how to disable cover flow in the music tab, its really annoying and i think it slows down the music player?

Maybe flash it back to stock and take it to a repair center. They might get you a refurb to exchange it with.

Am i the only person who uses the volume down rocker to mute the phone if a call comes in and i dont want to pick it up?

Thing is in the last 2 releases ( oct 8 and 13 cookie 2.0 and 1. the volume down trick doesnt work. Since no one else has complained im assuming that maybe im the only one who uses it that way.

Anyone know how to re-enable this?

Anyone having problems with the activesync icon overlapping the signal bars in the taskbar? Anyway to fix that? Signal is week in many places where I live and I do depend on signal strength to determine if I need to force Roaming Only or not. TIA

If you don't have a SIM card in, try putting one in. I think I remember this solving this?

Most definitely going with it. The OEM and the spare I rotate with barely get me through the day. A good camping/kayaking weekend in the sticks will find me dead or in dire need of a charge once I get back to the truck.
