I absolutely love the 23xxx GTX ROM dated Aug 6th. Of all the ROMs so far from NRG, I can say this is the best and most fluid so far that I have used!!!

[QUOTE=theshowman;1903965]I'm really surprised no one else is having any memory leak issues.
Ever since early July NRG ROMs, my unit goes to 90% memory usage fairly quickly, without anything being installed.
/QUOTE]

I am on August 1 Cookie 23xxx and have this exact problem. Within 5 minutes from unplugging my phone from charging it goes down to 88% battery. Then it seems to start using battery at a normal pace.

The person you quoted is talking about MEMORY use not BATTERY.

Some things to consider if you battery charge is going down quicly are, first, how old is the battery? They have a finite number of charge/discharge cycles.

Also, are you charging via the USB port on your computer or your wall charger. Charging from the comuter takes much longer than the wall charger does.

Also, are you leaving wifi and bluetooth on? They are very quick to drain your battery.

Hope that helps.

David

Installs Aug 6 23xxx DinikGlass. The lock screen shows the number of email but mine is stuck showing 12 even though I have read all my emails. I tried deleting my Exchange server and it still shows 12? Any ideas? I never had this problem with previous 23xxx dinikglass roms.

LOL....and I am a teacher!
Battery is less than a year old.
Charging from wall.
Wifi and bluetooth off.
Even tried Hypnotic's cab to help with battery use.

Odd thing is the quick drain only happens within first 5 minutes!

Anybody have the Link to NRG's addon's section? I thought it used to be on the first page but I can't find it any where? I feel so dumb. Thanks for the help.

OK, thats good to know.

I have heard - but there is much debate about the subject - that the phone takes a bit of "getting used to" the battery patterns after a new flash.
Each oem battery has circuitry that hepls the phone determine the rate of charge and dischatge and sometimes that can get a bit wonky after a flash.
First, try a soft reset, then give it a couple days of charge/discharge cycles to get used to the charge/discharge rates.

Mine will stay at 100% for an hour or so then start dropping.

I have found that NRG's lates ROMS are by far the best on battery life of all his recent ROMS.

Are there any cabs or setting to change to make the GTX have the white lower bar and white background like the original GTX mod instead of Energy's wing thing or multi-colored one? No offense meant heh.

Loving this latest one!

Thanks.
I will probably update from 8/1 Cookie 23xxx to 8/6 and see if there are any changes. I will also give it some time.
