I've been looking to find a way to make the top/bottom bars black (to match the wall paper).

Successfully used HDWall with the help of THIS WALK THROUGH post #3.

Hopefully it will help others as well.

Currently BG Tweak is not compatible with cookie 1.8 However you can find his TB and MB opacity program sepperate and try that.

It is the file "volDeus Opacity adjustment tool and bar refresh v0.4.cab" found in the 3rd post of this thread.
This cab installs the basic tool that you need to make the bars transparent, and the refresh program.

1) Copy your stock shell files ("shell32.exe" and "aygshell.dll") to the root of your storage card.
2) Install the cab-file, and reboot.
3) Run the Set Opacity program in the volDeus folder, which you can find on the screen after you press the Start button. Set the opacity to you liking.
4) Go back to your home screen. Press the Menu soft-button and use the Set Wallpaper option to set the wallpaper you want.

Again, this is only for people that understand what they're doing, otherwise you'll have to HR your phone.


I've heard whispers saying that co0kie 1.8.1 will have MB and TB skinning support, which is the way HDWalls works to do full screen backgrounds.
