Update:

I have tried changing the font, the height, the margins, and every menu-related registry setting.

The problem is, when reverting to the old 6.1 menus, all of the menus are still "double spaced". I really want to get my menus back to single spaced, compact format.

So, again: does anyone have the cab for the "finger menus off" application that USED TO be cooked into the Energy ROM's?

If not, going back to windows menus is easy: search. Customizing them takes a bit more work.

I'm not sure if this works on all HTC Diamond Touch but it does for Sprint and works great. Sprint Picture Mail just run this .cab file

I've had excellent luck with SmartLock 2.0F. I also use the Dusk lockscreen. Make sure you exclude the program if you run CleanRAM.
