did you tests sms after a fresh flash or hard reset?? i have never had a problem with sms on any of his roms on the tp2 and the tp,was it working at all? did you install something and it failed after that?? sms may have been broken by something else..........

The reason why every program won't work is because when you install a program, most programs also install registry keys. So unless you save each individual registry key for every program, then it will never fully work and this "idea" really isn't a good idea.

I think I found my problem. I did a PIM backup of everything, and when I restored all my texts after flashing to the latest ROM and received new one's, the phone is not organizing the texts by order of date. So when I receive new texts, the newest isn't showing up on the text screen, but now that I've looked through them, I've found the new texts that I've received. So, I am receiving texts, but can't see them because they're getting mixed in with older one's. I'm deleting the old one's so that only new one's show up.

And can you post a link to the definitive Verizon MMS fix as the one's I've tried haven't worked.

And finally, does anyone know if there is a setting where the phone automatically deletes older texts if you set it to how far back to delete them?

Couple of ideas for future updates:

1) Is it possible to add an option for Weather to auto-update on ActiveSync? Currently only QuickGPS has the option to do so.

2) One of those dual-volume controls (to configure ring and system volume separately) would be so helpful. Many people like me like to set the ring volume lower than system volume (or vice versa), so this will come in handy.

You can change this option by going to start menu/Tools/Tweaks/HTC Volume Control. [thanks mp1! ]

3) The phone call history list is black and white in contract to the colored icon ones in thread #3. What gives?

4) Quite a few people had SMS problems with this build. I had to run a "Disable HTC messaging 1.2" cab provided by another kind poster and soft-reset to fix it. Kindly look into this for future versions?

glad you got it squared away,i knew sms had to work lol,since the very first day i got the tp2 this is the mms fix i use and it works everytime i have done it on countless roms,if you have been using sms/mms SR before installing the cab otherwise cab will say unsuccessful blah,blah,blah due to sms/mms running in background

1 .install MMS Fix (M2.5) (Verizon) (Valkyrie).cab
2. go to mms options and select mms server,you will see it has added VZW under Verizon and it has set the VZW as default
3. port number needs to be 80 should be by default
4. change server address to (case sensitive):
http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=123467890 (1234567890 represents your phone#, no 1 in front # or any - in between)
5. change connect via to my ISP
6. set wap to none

and it works for me every single time,now it has resized pix but thats a issue with all VZW mms fixes

Hi, i realy love this version for my TP2, but i have a problem
i use Magicall a software that change my dialed number to call home (its in my fav5) and use my trixbox to call out
but the problem i have with this rom, is whenever i dial a number starting with 1 (for long distance) it seem it does not send it
sound like a automatic prepend problem, i have tried to disable it in the registry or using the option in the cdma option for prepend, and it does not work, it take the "1" off whenever i dial it

is there a way to disable completly this option for letting me dial any number with no conversion
