Can anyone comment on whether or not the new Jan 20 ROM has the weather demo option on the home screen or weather tab? It was there on Dec 31, but taken out on Jan 14. I want it back.

ITS ON the maxmanila version, on the standard version it has to be switched on

Def try stock, I had a similar problem to what you had on my touch diamond and it turned out the GPS chip in the phone went bad and I had to get a new phone. If GPS doesn't work with the stock flash then I'd say you have a hardware issue.

I thought that I was the only one with that. I have a AT&T Pure and a Sprint TP2 and on both I have the Dec 17 Rom. It's the only one I can find that runs HD Walls perfectly.

Dont re-flash the ROM just do a System/ wipe (hard reset) run Sashimi but leave out the followingan ##codes,GSM to CDMA sms fix, Sprint MMS Fix,NoPushInternet. Try an Arcsoft MMS fix for Sprint. BTW the SMS works fine dont fix whats not broken. I had the same problem and this fixed everything.

Im starting to think that autoinstalling cabs is just a baaaaad idea. I never do it and I dont seem to have any of the issues other people are having. The people that autoinstall the same cabs ROM after ROM tend to eventually run into problems partly because they dont even know what they are installing anymore.

Anyway doing a hard reset takes almost as long as reflashing so I dont think it would be a bad idea to do it. It may fix some issues in case the initial install just didnt go properly too.

This sound like it was meant for me! Anyway, I flashed back to the Jan 14th 23518 and left out the Opera Mobile beta2u. That fixed a lot of my bugs and lockups.

Also deleted all my personal ringtones that Sashimi installs and set all my contact ringtones to "none".

Now the ROM is running very smoothly.

I absolutely MUST have my Sashimi!! I can't count the hours that it saves me in flashing these new NRG releases.
I do take care not to auto-install any programs that would change the ROM, just added tools, games, shortcuts.

Ok I flashed a signed stock ROM and Radio and GPS still doesnt work. So now what??? Its me and sprint???

I just installed the Jan 20th. ROM and it is fast! I can send SMS, but can't receive. Any suggestions?

Also, is there a setting to delete text messages that a certain amount of time old or do we have to delete all text messages? Reason I ask is because I've got so many that it's slowing my phone down when I try to message someone. Takes so long to load the messages before I can text back.

There have been a couple new RADIO RELEASES recently that I've been trying out which led me to search for a fix for the ## codes not working (wanted to use Fieldtrial).

I ran into a Post From Stroths with a cab that fixed it for me on the Jan. 14th 23518.

Install the cab (which will put an EPST tool shortcut in your start menu) and you should be able to use ## codes in your dialer.

Again, all thanks to Stroths, I didn't make this cab, just using it!
