Method 1 or Method 2?

I am on Sprint and this is what I did. These steps were posted by skydiverjeff and these are the exact .cabs I used to make it finally work


1. Flash to STOCK
2. Install ROM (23518_20.Jan.2010_StandardM2.5_MaxManila)
3. Wipe Phone
4. Install HTC messaging disable cab (Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB)
5. Soft reset
6. Install latest and greatest Arcsoft (MMS Fix (M2.1) (Sprint).cab)
7. Soft reset
8. Enjoy...Messaging working fine.

It was the only thing I couldn't get working so now I am very happy!!
I hope it works for everyone one Sprint - Good Luck

Running 23518 w/MaxManilla:

-I was having a lot of issues with this build..so I simply just hard reset it as soon as it started acting up. I FINALLY got everything where I want it and am having really no issues at all! (except for some major memory being occupied! I'm not sure if it's Max Manilla or what.) I'm not sure if this is just a placebo effect or what, but what I did after a fresh hard reset was disable Sense UI in the Today settings before I even did anything else with the phone. Then I went on with customizing ringtones & then soft reset. Then setup my email & soft reset. Then changed all of my normal settings & soft reset. Then installed cabs one by one & soft reset after each install (I read that you are supposed to soft reset after each cab anyhow). Then enabled Sense UI & soft reset. Then customize Manilla settings to my liking & soft reset! It's a pain, but hey, I'm happy with the result! Ringtones seem to be going off fine but I'm really not cool enough to have it constantly go off. Oh, and Opera 10 is still crap lol. It froze on me a few times & decided to just go try IE, which surprisingly is not all that bad?

I am on 21889 - Why, all of a sudden, do I get a corrupt ringtone issue in the phone options screen? I cannot change my voicemail access code or anything on that screen because the error doesn't allow saving anything. Other than that, it seems to be working very well! Anyone know of a fix?

How did you make the size limit larger than 300mb?

I think you meant 300k... you used to be able to go into mms server settings and change that, but I cant find it now so I am not sure what it is set to.

i want to install a different ROM... so do i always have to flash to stock before changing ROM? or can i change from one ROM to the next?... and since u have sprint stock rom, where do i get that from? Thanx man

Go into the registry editor.. HKEY_Local_Machine\software\Arcsoft\arcsoftMMSUA\C onfig\MM1\MMSCSetting\SampleMMSC.. Change all 4 WAP1RecvDefaultSize to 512200..
