I am running the 21877 ROM and just ran into an issue. I opened the bing application that comes installed in the ROM and everything seems to work fine. A window popped up saying there was an update available, so I downloaded it and installed it. When I open the new version, I get an error stating that it "could not process your GPS request. Please try again". The GPS function works fine in the previous bing version and in google maps. I looked for a setting in the new bing application, but there are very few settings. Am I missing anything or is anyone else seeing the same issue? Thanks.

You generally should not update applications that are cooked in.

In this case, it does not update the application, but rather installs a separate version of the application. The version that is cooked into the ROM is still installed and accessable and the GPS functionality works fine in that version. I was just wondering if there is a fix to get it working in the new version. Thanks.

No, that is true sometimes, but generally not, and you are asking for trouble, which is what you got it. Some updates will start an uninstaller and fail part way through. Some will overwrite some files but not others.

Has anyone notice their memory useage going up and up even though your doing nothing on your phone?

I'm on EnergyROM_21884_RHOD500_10.Dec.2009_StandardM2.5_M axManila
and on a fresh soft reboot i would start of with ~65% and i leave my phone in sleep mode for about an hour and my memory useage is over 90%!!!!.

Then i try running appz like opera and i get errors saying im out of memory.

I have animated weather off and only thing i've setup is Data services: Facebook, Youtube, and twitter.

If you have CDMA device, you need the CDMA version.

i'm running the 21884 version with maxmanila and was wondering if i could get my calendar event(s) to display on the homescreen under the clock, weather, and date graphic? I'm new to maxmanila. Thanks in advance

You can call Verizon and they'll give you the code to unlock SIM for free... there is a post somewhere about how to do this, just search for it.... Should work for Sprint as well.
