I have to eat my words. My VVM is not working on the NOV 27th release. It does work but I still get that stupid text. I was working with the Nov 20th release which I'm going to flash back to right now. I'm getting quite a few bugs with this release. My battery life is horrible. It will drain the battery dead with a full charge overnight. I also think it doesnt charge sometimes, I left it in the cradle charging and it was dead in the morning. I dont have push email enabled and shut down all tasks before I went to bed. It also locks up when looking up contacts or adding them to the fav contacts list in Manila. Sorry for the bad info.

Thanks but all seems ok. The network is working fine. It's just this pops up now and then.

Usually it's when I receive a call, hang up, shut phone off, then next time I go to use it, it will have one sitting there. It has something to with data shutting off during a call and reconnecting while device is off.

opinions vary. you know that.

if you install it and don't expect it to be perfect, you'll be happy. otherwise, don't try it.

this package is a first of it's kind. and it's pretty damn arrogant for people to bitch about it not working properly. the op says it's not 100%.

i do have to say, i think he's done a great job with this. most of the gripes that people have about 2.5 is "no landscape". this solution takes care of that.


Edit. just has an FYI to all the whiners that the landscape isn't working properly, the following statement was clipped directly from op's XDA post....

"BY NO MEANS WILL THE LANDSCAPE BE PERFECT"


so. if you expect it to be perfect. create it yourselves. until then, relax and enjoy what has been made available.

I happen to like the 27th release better than the last. I do have a couple issues but overall I'm really impressed.
My Issues:
When no curtains cab istalled it lags throw it up againt a dying cow slow, but once I removed them without restarting it sped right back up so it still looked good and ran fast.

I cant view certain websites, I get a "You must have cookies enabled to view this site" warning. But, they are enabled so have to find that fix.

If I install a different taskbar it causes the bottom buttons to disappear and i get a pink screen across the bottom.

Start appears and disappears on the taskbar, but no big deal.

Like I said overall its pretty sweet and I'll stick with it for a while love the fav buttons on the home screen, as well as the function buttons below the slider, will be donating to help further projects take off asap!

I really enjoy using 6.5.3 with sense 2.5, only draw back is the lag in the messaging app by HTC. I find that I have to empty my SMS box every day or else i have to wait minutes to start typing a txt in a chat windows. The Windows threaded messaging app only loads the last ten messages in a conversation and provides a link to go back to older messages. I've tried looking into the XML files on the messaging app but cannot find a way into cutting down the number of messages it loads in a chat windows. If someone can look into this we could significantly speed up HTC's messaging app.

Not sure if this is rom related or due to a config change but on the latest energy 21877 build the speaker phone does not activate when turning the phone over.
