Not necessary to unlock the SIM, just apply the HardSPL. The SIM unlock is only necessary for flashing radio's and (obviously) using different SIM cards in the USA.

Thanks for confirming. Do I need to do anything to get voice and data service from Sprint after installing EnergyROM. I'm not sure about the radio cabs in this post http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90342.

This is not working for me (and many others in collaboration thread). Do you still need to run some cabs on EnergyRom? I'm runn 28014 maybe that's the difference.

got an issue with google maps and Xmas rom. When I press 0 for my location it takes me down to LA valley 1800 miles away from me with message that my location is withing 95000 meters.

Any ideas?

hey experts!

i have 2 questions for you.

1) in the "advanced Config" utility, under the "HTC TouchFLO" options, what is the "Cube?" i've enabled it and can't see a difference or even find a "cube" item/option anywhere.

2) has someone created a ROM reader? i'd like to read and save a copy of my phones ROM so after i've experimented with other ROMs, i could run the romupdateutility and put my fully configured ROM back in place.

I've got it working on 28014 Dusk, on VZW, with no additional cab installs or disables involved.

I had already modified what needed to be done to get MMS working with winmo messaging, which--aside from making sure the settings were correct--only involved adding the x-vzw-mdn=1234567890 string to the WspHeader (not WspHeader2) in HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\arcsoft MMS UA\Config\mm1

So, I'm not saying this is a prerequisite step, only that I had MMS working on winmo without any cabs or by disabling HTC. And when I added the MDN line to the HTC server address, I was able to send a test picture to my wife through HTC messaging.

I'm reading a lot about how Sprint is having problems with this, and I'm wondering if it's a matter of figuring out what goes in between the "x" and the "mdn" but I have no suggestions beyond the combinations that have been suggested.

I'm having some serious free memory issues with 28014 Dusk. Not that anything's crashed yet because of it, and I'm not running out, but I am typically holding at about 35ish MB free, even after running CleanRAM at level 3.

I just checked now after I woke up, and haven't run any programs or anything since I went to bed. Last night, I was at around 38. Now I'm at around 25. I checked task manager and I'm not running any processes that aren't normally running. What I did notice was that my gwes.exe is at 44913, followed by cprog.exe at 9162 and device.exe at 7223.

Now, I have become pretty familiar with my device in the last few months I've been flashing, but I have no clue what these three processes do (I think cprog is related to Phone?) or what might make them so high.

Any insights would be appreciated. Cheers.

Revert to GoogleMaps 3.2.1 - My Location seems to be broken in 3.3.1, or at least their data is still being catalogued.

3.2.1 puts me within a few blocks every time.

City ID question:

I noticed on 28014 Dusk something I hadn't seen on previous NRG ROMs--I was given a prompt telling me I had a trial to City ID, and that I could purchase a subscription or continue the trial. I was never prompted for this on other NRG ROMs, and so had always assumed it to be a free application--an added bonus, of sorts

Now, it is logical that once the trial period expires, the feature will be disabled, but I just wanted to check in case this is untrue, or that the prompt is from some vestigial code that just hitched a ride into the ROM, or whatever the case may be.

It's broken in 3.3.x for everyone. I wish energy would not install 3.3.x. It would be one less thing to fix.
