Edit. OK. i just did a freaking hard reset and tried the mms. doesn't work. you're gonna have to be a little bit more descriptive.

I'm on Sprint. I flashed my phone. Ran sashimi which installed the sprint kb fix.

That worked, however the limit to send and receive was only 300k. I tried manually editing the registry to 5 MB but it didn't change anything.

So then I tried installed teh MMS Fix 2.1 for sprint located in the FAQ that I already had on my phone. That worked and my send receive limit went up to 5 mb. If I were you I wouldn't manually try to edit any server settings and just apply the MMS fix.

So basically NRG has made it so that HTC messaging is still functional along with MMS if you go into outlook. I've been waiting for this b/c if you install the zenyee disable HTC messaging cab, it breaks being able to send an SMS through somebody either by pressing the SMS button through the contact card or through the contacts page. If you pressed a contact that you assigned the default action of SMS to when you had the zenyee cab install, the phone would try to go HTC messaging, pause and just do nothing b/c HTC messaging was disabled.

so AFTER you installed the disable cab you installed the 2.1 fix?

Can you give me a link to the MMS fix and the steps you used to get it working? I looked in the FAQ's page but couldnt find it. Also, what version of the rom are you using?

The HTC messaging works outta the box. You don't really have to install anything. You can edit the server settings and get MMS to work. However the file size limit is only 300k.

I just reread my original post to see how I confused you. :shrugs:

I don't know how to say this without you taking it the wrong way, but you did just quote my post with the steps that I took to get MMS working.

MMS works, but you still have to go into outlook to send and receive. I suppose you could send from albums also by choosings MMS. The difference is that HTC messaging is not disabled. When you click all messages from the messaging you are taken into the HTC messaging. The two big differences are that when you click on the message from the sense msging tab, you go straight to the msg instead of getting a broken link. Also, if you have a contact set to sms, you can now click on that contact in favorite or the program tab and you will be directed to the HTC messaging app instead of a broken link.

Ok thanks. Which version of the rom are you using? Does that fix only work for sense 2.1 or does it also work for sense 2.5? If I remember correctly sense 2.1 was working already in the past and it was just sense 2.5 that had the real problems.

Sorry about that. I'm using the latest 28014 2.5 rom. I should have included that.
