I was running the 21864 Oct 25th build and decided to upgrade to the Dec 4 21877 build. After doing so, the start menu/windows button would work maybe 5 or 6 times and then would stop responding. Everything else worked fine, but that. I tried the Phoenix 2 Dec 4 build as well to see if Sense 2.1 would fix it, but no luck.

I thought maybe quickmenu did it, so I disabled it and rebooted, but it still had the same issue.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

EDIT: Turns out it was wktask causing the issue. I disabled/uninstalled programs and services one by one until I narrowed it down to wktask. Ran without wktask for 3 or 4 days and the issue I mentioned didn't surface. Tried running wktask again and within minutes the problem came back. It's a shame as its a great program.

Just flashed 21877. The "ok" and/or "X" button on the top right seems dead in every program and on every screen. Is this just me, a new problem, or something ongoing?

I am running that same ROM and have not had that issue? Did you flash a stock ROM first? My process is to flash a stock ROM (Verizon in my case), then I flash the NRG ROM, then I do a hard reset from the new ROM. I have had very good success following that process. I hope that helps. Thanks.

Does anyone else have this issue with the 21877 Dec. 4th ROM? When I go to the settings tab and click on "Other (miscellaneous settings)", I get only a white screen and the phone locks up...I have to push the orange reset button on the side to get the phone to respond. Thanks.

I didn't flash a stock ROM. I will give that a try. Thanks.

I know it takes more time up front, but it has helped remove a lot of frustration later on. Good luck!

Follow Mighty's recommendations, Load your new rom, let it do it's startup when completed just clear storage. Your as a good as new. Otherwise you may have stuff left from stock rom that can leave stuff behind creating issues.

I've never reloaded a stock rom just to put on a new rom.

I am on Dec 4 218677 ... just noticed that caller ID comes as caller's city, NOT name from address book. Does anyone know where that is set? Could it be related to the City ID app - and how does one disable it? Thanks.

Umm... Mine shows both the name and the city. Without any changes or modifications.

mine comes up with a picture of the person i have in my contact list (or the name) and then the city/state under that.

i'm on 28008 dec. 2nd
