Ok here is my issue.. I love the oct 25 build of 23081.. I got some Manila themes that only work with that ROM that are awesome.. I have tried the nov 3 rom and my themes dont work.. Everybody says MMS on the Oct 25 build is a never gonna work. I dont want Nov 3 cause Oct 25 runs great for me except for MMS.. Do you think that app will work on Oct 25 and if so what else do I have to do to get it to work as far as all those other cabs everybody is using to get MMS to work on the current release? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.. And if MMS really is a dead issue with Oct 25 build of 23081 then I can live without it.. For now..

Yes, you can use the sMMS app on the Oct 25 build. You would need to use that app to send/receive MMS...it's not the best way to handle MMS, but it works.

First I gotta say that this is a great ROM and a job well done! I have a couple issues that are kinda frustrating. At times, even though I remove most text messages, the phone just locks up completely... and after a few minutes it starts to do all the screen taps that i did while it was hanging. I am still using Manilla messaging since i like the interface, and it seems to happens when I receive a text message or try to reply to one. the other issue is the font in manila messaging looks off and I'm not sure if it a setting. I am using the Nov 2 rom by the way. and I hope that these aren't repeat questions.. theres a lot of posts in here haha.

Hi all -

I just flashed my phone with the ROM and everything went well - the update went through without any issues... until the phone rebooted. I waited for it start up and go through the set up process, but unfortunately it stayed on the "Touch Pro 2" screen for 30+ minutes. I took off the sync cable and don't know what to do.

Any insight or next steps on what i should do from here on out? I can't sync the phone as it is not loading the ROM. The phone seems to be responding (when I hold down the buttons for a hard-reset, it brings up the prompt) but it is not loading the ROM/Windows Mobile.

Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

you may want to put it in bootloader and try reflashing.

heck. i had forgotten about sMMs. i even bough a version of it back in the day.

I use HTC messaging to received MMS and use sMMS app to "compose/send" MMS only, Here is how I did it.

Assuming your settings are unaltered:
1. Download the "MMS fix(M2.5)(sprint)(valkyrie) cab. soft-reset
2. Go into your HTC messaging settings/Menu/MMS server/SampleMMSC2/ scroll down to Connect via select "My ISP", Scroll down to WAP and select "None".
This will enable you to receive and download MMS without giving a "Unable to download MMS".
3. Download sMMS app for composing and sending MMS only.

Oh yeah make sure in the HTC messaging settings, Select your desired photo resolution and Camera captured resolution.

"DO NOT" install the Sprint Arcsoft 5.00.XX cab. or the Carrier cab. this will brake the receiving MMS through the HTC messaging app.

This has been tested on My sprint TP2 not sure if it works on other carriers
