They seem to fall mainly into Power consumption, Memory, MMS issues, Arcsoft vs HTC, and Activesync issues. also small things like wanting 3 or 4 shortcuts on home or 4 columns on peoples tab and things like that aren't very easy to find.

Anyway. I usually flash energy/juicy roms and have since the TP1 days.

I know ROMs are all personal preference but I have to say I always come back to NRG. I tried MM Impact today for no reason other than to check out something new and I just did not like it. Took me quite awhile to get my data connection going. And seemed to be lacking something.

Just loaded the new 2/24 cookie ROM and its VERY fast. Love the new all tabs wallpaper choice! Works great. I'm just getting it configured but it seems to be well worth the flash.

Go google...RUU.exe or RomUpdateutility.exe
Find one and download it...then put the .nbh and the exe files in the same folder. Start up the phone in bootloader....connect it...and click the exe file

Unless you only wanted to do it from storage card...seems a tad bit more of a hassle to me...but that's just me

I do not see the 23540 MaxManila version. seem to be missing on HOTFILE.

i believe you also have to rename the NBH file to match the name of the one in the RUU.. obviously change the name of the existing one or copy the name and then delete it, and then rename the one from here.

2GB and formated as FAT from what I remember. I still flash from my desktop in bootloader mode by using the standard ROMUpdateUtility.exe.

You can download it from the attachments in this thread, but here it is again anyway.

Just unzip and drop the nbh file in the same directory.

this question and answer have been poping up like mushroom lately. here is simple answer and let stop asking and start reading.

You DON'T have to rename anything or doing anything weird, its just simply as this.
1) download the rom you want
2) extract it to where ever you want
3) copy the extracted file to the ROM UPDATE UTILITIES FOLDER
4) establish your Phone to your PC then run the ROM UPDATE UTILITIES
5) step out side of your house to have a cigarette. when you come back its all done.
