you can't remove it,so until you dl a standard rom without it scroll up to Max Manila settings and set every option to off,about the best your gonna be able to do,sorry

If it is 'cooked' in the rom, then it can't be uninstalled. why don't you just use the standard non maxmanilla roms?

Are you guys sure this is not just happening after going into landscape mode (which has been a known issue from the get go)? For instance, did you text while in landscape mode (which would explain it)? Santod was nice enough to post an immediate fix the same day (or the next day) of the Feb 10 release and made it clear that it was a test but it seemed to be working for most people (hence test 1 in the title). According Santod's post, he plans on fixing the landscape issue although with 2012 coming we may need another new BG4all anyway. LoL.

The only time the bg goes black for me is when i switch to landscape mode, then the bg changes to the black until i do a level 3 cleanRam or soft reset. Aside from when i go into landscape mode, i have not had it switch to the black bg at any other time.

Sometimes it changes without any connection to recent tasks performed, my Smart Lock 1.9 puts the phone to sleep and then when I ulock it its back to black (but not all the time); now that I think of it, it might be a bug in Smart lock 1.9 thats causing this. this might explain why some have this problem and not others, software incompatibility is at the root of alot of issues but hardly seriously considered, JS

possibly so,i use lock device 1.6 and don't have the issue except as Shade mentioned when in landscape

I use Smart Lock 1.9 on 23529 with cookie as well and don't have the background issue, only when I go into landscape and back.

When i go to the internet tab...you can't scroll down through the quicklinks from the bottom 3 links. so when you go to that tab you see 6 quicklinks. i have to grab one of the top 3 to scroll down.

This was mentioned before... You can scroll through them all but you have to grab it from the top half of the screen i.e. the top 3. From there you can scroll through all 9 tabs. Scrolling back up isnt a problem.
