I tried the Note to Self option it does the same thing. You can use Google Voice as a work around if you have it. Send the sms to your GV # and it will be forwarded to your phone. I haven't tried it but it might work.
OK, I just signed up for a GV account.

Is there a way to send an SMS through GV to myself at a specific time??

Probably not many, S2U2 is very popular.

Your first issue, sliding and it goes to the dialer, happens because you are inadvertantly pressing a key (either number or letter) which makes it assume you are trying to look up a number, hence the dialer.

Your second issue sounds to me like you are sliding your keyboard before an app has actually loaded. When I rotate in Opera it works fine, but if I'm too quick it will rotate before the app opens in the foreground, which keeps it in manila.

Be careful, you really should be describing this 'cab' as an 'app'. This will create a service that always runs in the background, and it will cost your battery life and a slight bit of performance. For me I don't mind be notified which network I'm connected to, especially now that this is a world phone.

Yes of course, but a cab isn't enough of a description. A cab can do many things, and many that get posted around here are just making registry edits. When you are suggesting someone install an application, it's probably best to tell them it is an application...

It wasn't you who asked to change the "Sprint" from the top curtain, so if you don't want to use the cab don't use it...But the cab (which installs an app) does replace the "Sprint" with whatever text you want..it's really as simple as that.

No need to get snarky, we are all trying to help each other out here. I hear people who are concerned with battery life and performance FAR MORE than they are a bit of text that says "Sprint", so I think it's fair that when we give advice we are clear of the implications...

THRU SMS not EMAIL

meaning if you select that little new message icon on the top right of the messaging screen...and you can "attach" a pic from there to send as a text message.
Didn't install anything.......PERIOD! I didn't even know what that paperclip was for at first for a couple days! When I found out I was like "WHHAAT?!" I just sent my wife a picture of this cute little dog I thought she would like and she received it! Like said above, just ran the provisioning tool when I first flashed! Was I not supposed to do that or something?!
