I will be flashing over to R8 soon! Thank you Juicy for all your great work. Thanks to every one on the boards as well. If you read most of everyones posts soon after a new rom is released you will have an easier time setting up you device afterwords...:headbang:

3 issues im having and im wondering if anyone else is getting them

1. phone connects to 3g all the time...i turn it off in comm manager or soft reset and after a few minutes it connects again for no reason

2. on my home clock the weather, location and temperature are in the middle of the big clock numbers and aren't positioned where they should be

3. phone freezes and lockes up from time to time...after a phone call if i dont push end or if the soft keyboard is out and i open the phone to use the hard keyboard it will freeze...usually only happens in 2.5 messaging client

anyone have the mms fix for sprint? when I go to albums >> send mms >> add recipient and pick one, i get blank screen. It works when a contact has only email address or even recent calls.

FOR VERIZON USERS, HERE IS HOW TO SET UP MMS SO IT WORKS

Verizon User's MMS Settings:
Open up messaging tab, then click all messages. Then click menu/settings/options. Then click menu again, and then click mms server. Click new.
Enter these settings:
Name: Verizon
Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=1234567890 (Replace the 1234567890 with your phone number)
Port: 80
WAP: None

I had R6 ever since Juicy released it back in early December and it was great experience. Today I flashed my phone to R8 and now I am seeing a few issues. Have you guys seen this and if so, any advice?
1) When I go to the Contact tab, then click on All People, then move around my list of contacts, and then click on Back, it takes a good 15 to 20 seconds for the screen to actually go back to the previous screen (Favorites) and during this time I cannot do anything else.
2) I have configured my favorite contacts to download the contact picture from Facebook. However, the contact won't download the pic from Facebook no matter what I do.
3) Few of my contacts are not being replicated from my Exchange account. I have successfully completed at least 5 syncs but these few contacts are not yet replicated.
4) In Facebook, when selecting Logoff, it takes a good 3 minutes for the logoff process to complete. During this time my phone is useless.
5) In general, my phone is considerably less responsible than before, when I had the R6 ROM.

for those of you that are having issues with the weather overlapping the clock on the home screen, its due to you installing a cab that removes the top curtain that isn't compatible with this version of manila. look two posts up for a link to a thread that has a top and bottom curtain remover that should work. jusr remove the top curtain cab and you'll be set.

has any1 notices in the remove program screen, a cab "unknown energyrom phonesettings"? on a fresh flash, clear storage, mr x sprint prov. cab install i then have 2 cabs in the remove programs list, the one above and the sprint. i looked into the phone settings and seen nothing changed?

I have read in another thread about taskbar dll files causing issues. What taskbars work with r8? it is manilla 2.5 1922 right? are there specific 1922 taskbars? is that what u have to make for dll compatibility?

OMG, I'm so glad you posted this.

i went through 4 versions of this ROM & had that problem on every one of them.

You just saved me from wasting the time flashing to this & setting it all up just to find out this still isn't fixed......

i didnt think manila versions mattered 4 tb's...i could be totally wrong, i been out the tb game 4 a bit.
i believe this manila is 2.5 1922 cause of the landscape.
and as far as tb's i thought the only versions #'s you needed to worry bout were wm6.1 vs wm6.5 and vs wm6.5.x

i thought it was posted earlier opera10beta2u was the cause...

do you set the ringer to ring and vib.? cause i never had an issue w/ "no ringing" but i set the ringer to ring only. now that i think of it i used to set it to ring and vib but had it not ring or vib so i switched it back to just ring and no prob ever since...

that makes sense. maybe some of the takes have beta dlls that were updated through the releases? such as a beta dll of 6.5 months ago before it was released but now the dll is release version?

anyone have a definitive answer if taskbar dll conflicts are just between wm versions? will any 6.5 tb work with juicy r8?

no fooling evdo=3g...if u understood what i ment is that the internet connection is constantly on....so its always in a 3G connection..its killing my battery...hdtweaks isnt working for the option to kill the connection after 1 minute of no use...

hm..I think I've given up on 2.5, it's great and Juicy's done an amazing job but it's seriously just too slow, what's mean to be running on a snapdragon processor should stay on the snapdragon.

I only really liked the email tab in 2.5 anyways, now that that's ported over to 2.1, I think I'll go back to 2.1 for the time being
