Noob here, and I have a question. (oh no)

For Juicy, or any of you who have this rom, is there a way I would be able to switch to the regular contacts tab that is currently on standard 6.5? The one where you can flip through the enlarged pictures of your favorites.

so excuse me but I have to ask (as searching the changelog didn't yield anything for me)..

but did you by chance happen to change out the crappy BT Stack that came with PREVIOUS (IE not the new Version update which I hear is kinda sexy?) stock carrier roms?

Or am i gonna have the same shitty issues i have had with stock/almost every other ROM i have flashed since i updated from my TP... (and the Mogul before that)...

O SH!T. cant wait to run a Juicy 6.5.X rom

Ive had to revert to some not as stable chefs to get my 6.5.x fix. And mike hasnt updated his in a while

I think I just found a bug. In trying to setup mms using these settings:-

name: Verizon
Ip Address: Blank
Port Number: 80
Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=your number here
Connect Via: Data or #777 Or VZW or whatever your data connection is
Send Limit: 1024 KB

There are no values listed in the send limit field at all and when attempting to send an MMS it fails.

Other than that everything is great. :)

so the "Format SD Card" under StartMenu>Tools: FAILS EPICLY?

8GB SD card (2 of them both different brand) and it always says "The storage card has been damaged and unable to be formatted.", well got news for you, it works perfectly fine, I even reformated it a few times on my XP system just to make sure!

So... that applet fails... just a FYI (also tested it on a 512/1GB and it gave the same issue yet they work fine)...

now to dig to find how to change from 5bar to 7bar signal meter...

when u turn location on, upon restart it gives u the warning about the fact that with location on 3rd party apps may use ur data, not a probem or BUG... EXCEPT its a VERIZON message (needs to be made generic or the carrier customizer needs to have copies for each one)

juicy is from canada i believe since he uses telus (canada provider), this being his rom i would imagine he likes it that way, but personally i do prefer the us standard of MM/DD/YR locale

Long time MightyRom user. I'm sold on R8. Props and respect to Juicy.

Bug Report:
I went to m.google.com/maps and m.google.com/voice and it says that the device is not supported.

"Sorry the Google Maps application does not work on your M850. However you can access Google Maps on the go by using the web version"

So whats this all about and how can it be fixed

I would, but can't till I get home. There's only 2 ROMs that I've found that it works on and that's Energy's and Deck's SSS ROM. R8 looks great but I'm hooked on MaxManila at the moment.

Running the R8 release, this morning I just discovered my phone doesn't ring when recieves a phone call. This a major show-stopping glich for me. Otherwise I can confirm the other bug about device info not loading. It's a nice rom, but my phone MUST ring when someone calls.

EDIT: Opera Mobile 10: Beta 2U is breaking the ringer.

I just tried mine and I'm getting calls :\ did you play with HD Tweak or Schaps Adv Config? some of the phone settings breaks it and overwrites the CDMA settings with GSM settings making the phone get confused

Did you install Opera beta 2U. I know the U version has screwed up rings and such on R7 and other ROMS(not just Juicy's). If you did, uninstall it and see what happens.

I uninstalled Opera Beta 2u and the ringer came back. OM10 is hard to give up so I reinstalled it immediately afterwards... so far the phone still rings. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to keep a eye on that.

It will work untill you reboot then it will have issues again. Try just Beta 2 instead of beta 2U. The beta 2 without the U has worked for me in the past.

no way to auto set it to install to the storage card? :D



.cab files in "\Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD", These cab files will start with Full User interaction capabilities to choose where to install to.

Are the landscape animations disabled like in some of the GSM roms? I dig the landscape, just not the G-Sensor ones. The keyboard out landscape changes are awesome.

Install this file...MMS Fix (M2.5) (Verizon) (Valkyrie).cab . Then you will have the option to change the send limit. Works for me at least on verizon. Dont know about the other carriers. Thanks again juicy for an awesome rom.

This ROM is definitely ZIPPY!
....Been able to install/sync all my regular stuff with no issues. the Lag is minimal as well.

Charging now, so i'll be able to gauge battery life in a day or so...

....the dialer is cool too! i noticed a little sliding animation when lowering the keypad....lol..
